#9 :: The Contract Killer

I didn't know what ma's problem was with Courtney but it wasn't going to stop me seeing her. I checked in on my brothers and sister and made sure they was okay. I then made security stand guarded by their door, before I went back to my parents to find out what my ma's problem was.

As I made my way to their office I could hear them shouting.

"Yeah that's it blame me! I'm sorry I couldn't kill a child! She's the same age as Alejandro! Can you imagine if that was him!" I heard my mum say

Who was she talking about?

"But it's not him! And now this woman! This woman whose parents we murdered is dating our son!!" My father said.

Woah.

Courtney? They was talking about Courtney?

"What?" I said making my presence known startling them both.

"Alejandro!" My ma said.

"What did you just say Papa?" I said ignoring my mum.

"Alex... now isn't the time we have more important things to deal with."

"Now is the time because if what I heard is correct you murdered Courtney's parents? She told me about that. She said they were killed right in front of her. So that was you lot? You lot are the reason she has no parents? Please tell me I heard wrong? Is that the reason you don't want me dating Courtney ma?"

"Her name isn't Courtney..." my ma said.

"Gabriella..." my father said.

"No! Pedro... it stops now. It stops here. Her name is not Courtney, her name is Karmen.. Karmen Cardenas. Her parents were our... friends. Best friends if I'm going to be honest.."

"Wait... The Cardenas? I remember them; weren't they at the top before you guys took over?"

"Son... we will explain this all another time. We have to deal with the fact she's killing all our workers." My father said.

I looked at him.

"Excuse me?"

"Court... Karmen... is the contract killer." My ma said.

I laughed.

"We wasn't even sure if this contract killer was actually the person doing all of this and now not only is the contract killer real you're telling me it's a she? My girlfriend?"

"She has been taking out members starting from the bottom. First the Belmontez, then members from the Alfonzo and Pascals to make it look like it was them killing each other. Then she wiped out all the Diego's just this morning. Son, it's clear she's after us and doing so by eliminating all those under us." My father said.

I didn't know what to think. I didn't want to believe it but if they did kill her parents, then who knows what else is true.

"You said you killed her parents but you said they were your best friends. That doesn't make sense. You're big on loyalty."

"I'll explain everything later. The fact your mother knew who she was and let her go just means it's going to be harder to track her down."
