Liam shut the door abruptly, and I heard the voice that was all too familiar to me.

"Hey."

I looked up to see Louis beaming down at me. He was sitting on a daybed next to a windowsill- I could tell it wasn't his room. I stood there, motionless, as I stared blankly at Louis. Before this, I had been angry and frustrated at him... But seeing my best mate, I was now wanting to eat my words. "Come here, Meg. I want to talk to you."

I sat down next to Lou on the daybed, and he turned to me. "I'm sorry." We both said in sync, and we both read each others minds and began, "Why are you-" We were mimicking each other again. I smiled weakly as Louis said, "I'm sorry that I didn't keep in touch... But do you think I wasn't trying? Meg, management made me change my phone number, get a new email, delete all my social media... I lost all of your contact information. I tried looking you up in the phone book, but I couldn't find you." I looked at Louis admirably. "I've been missing you these 3 years... And I'm really glad that Liam got you to come down here." I looked deeply into Louis' blue orbs, which were dancing with excitement. "I'm sorry too, Lou. I judged. When things started going sour, I just judged that you forgot me and I began manifesting anger and frustration... I'm sorry I misunderstood you and your situation." Louis smiled sincerely at me, and he extended his arms to me, saying, "Come here." We hugged each other for what felt like an eternity. I missed being held by him, in his warm embrace... In the muscular arms that I knew so well. We finally separated, and Louis smiled. "I'm so happy to see you again." He said bubbly.

I smiled back at Louis. I was genuinely happy to see him... But I had to keep my secret from him. I couldn't tell him what had happened in those 3 years.

I just couldn't.
