Waking up in the morning had me feeling like a million galleons

Waking up in the morning had me feeling like a million galleons. I had made it to Hogwarts. I met Dumbledore, Severus was safe. I was safe. I grinned happily as Madame Pomfrey walked out of her office towards me with a potion in her hands.

"Morning, Madame Pomfrey. How are you today?" I smiled.

"Good afternoon you mean, it is already 3 in the afternoon! However, I am wonderful, my dear, how are you?" She asked, handing me the potion to drink.

I took it and drank if without even asking what it was for, grimacing at the taste. "Merlin's knickers, I don't think I've slept that much in my life. But, I will be better when I can get out of here."

"I think Dumbledore wants you to stay in here until the feast, then he will be introducing you to the entire school. You can use the shower here though to get yourself ready." She gestured to the bathroom in the back of the hospital wing.

I thanked her, grabbed my bag and headed for the showers. Feeling increasingly nervous about being introduced to the entire school. Not to mention I am not even a first year, I'll be in my third. Dumbledore said clearly even though I didn't attend school before that my skills are even above that of the third years, but I said I would like to stay with children my own age.

Taking my time to wash myself completely, along with the daunting task of getting all the blood and grime out of my thick, curly black hair. By the time I was done and used my wand to magically dry my hair without there being any frizziness left behind, it was almost time for supper. As I stepped out of the bathroom straightening my blank tie and tucking my white button up shirt into my skirt, I saw Mcgonagall and Severus walking into the hospital wing.

"Calliope. We just came to collect you for the feast." Professor Mcgonagall informed me.

"Impeccable timing, professors. I'm ready when you are." I smiled as I skipped toward the two.

"So, what house do you think I'll be in?" I asked somewhat nervously as we made our way towards the Great Hall.

"Well, I know you are nothing like your father and I realise that is what you are worried about. But if you do end up in Slytherin, in my house. We will have earned an incredible witch." Severus said calmly, ignoring a shocked Professor Mcgonagall.

"Thanks, Sev- um. I mean, thank you professor." I grinned, feeling a little bit better.

I could hear Dumbledore talking through the door, announcing why we were to be having another sorting ceremony for one girl as Severus and professor Mcgonagall pushed open the large doors as all of the students looked at me with bewildered expressions. I tried to push the nerves away, but it didn't stop the feeling that I was going to throw up all over the chubby Hufflepuff I was standing beside.

"Now everyone, I'm sure you all recognize this girl from her dropping entrance yesterday." A few people chuckled and I shot Dumbledore a smirk. "She is to be welcomed with open arms to our school as she is entering her third year. This is, Calliope Riddle."
