When we reached the Great Hall we all sat at the Gryffindor table, glancing across at the Slytherin table, I noticed Draco with his arm in a bandage, whining to a girl named Pansy Parkinson about how he "could have lost his arm"
"He's really laying it on thick hasn't he?" Ron said, turning away from Malfoy and looking back at us.
"His father will be furious. We havent heard the end of this." Hermione said.
Just then, Seamus Finnigan, an Irish boy in our year rushed through the doors of the great hall. "He's been sighted! He's been sighted! Sirius Black!"
Everyone crowded around the newspaper article, saying that he was spotted in a town not far from me.
"Who is Sirius Black?" I asked my friends.
"He's a lunatic that worked for You-Know-Who. Killed a whole bunch of muggles. He's been in Azkaban for 12 years and just escaped." Ron explained.
"He was a death eater?" I asked and the three nodded in response.
I couldnt help but frown. I thought I knew all of my fathers death eaters, or at least, heard of them all. I have never heard them mention a Sirius Black.
"Everything alright?" Harry asked, looking at me curiously.
"Yeah, fine." I started. "Its just that, in all the years I've been held captive, I have never heard any death eaters mention Sirius Black. If he killed so many muggles, he'd have to be a really loyal follower, so you think my father or the other death eaters would have mentioned him at some point."
"Maybe they just didnt mention him because he was in Azkaban. Why talk about someone who would be imprisoned for life?" Harry said.
"I guess you have a good point." I shrugged just as my favourite twins walked through the door. "Oh boys!" I called them towards me.
"Hello, love." They greeted me.
"I have a job for you." I smirked.
"Anything for you." They said in unison.
"Okay, so, Malfoy was being a raging dick today, so I think he needs to be taught a bit of a lesson. He needs to know he can't pick on our dearest Hermy without consequence." I explained.
"What do you have in mind?" Again, they asked in unison.
"I've got a few ideas." I smirked before standing up, leading the twins out of the hall.
Harry's POV
Seeing Calliope leave with Fred and George, I immediately turned to Hermione.
"You knew about her being an animagus and didnt tell us?" I demanded.
Hermione looked shocked. "Yes. It wasnt my secret to tell you, and I knew she would eventually anyway."
"I guess so. I'm just so shocked. How is it even possible?" I asked.
"I'm not sure, Harry. She is a truly brilliant witch. I mean, its no secret Tom Riddle was an extraordinary wizard and apparently her mother was also extremely gifted. Not to mention, if you had nothing but time for six years, I think you'd probably be trying anything you could as well." She looked uncomfortable. "Do either of you feel... drawn to her?"
"What do you mean?" Ron asked, but I had a feeling he knew exactly what she meant.
"I mean, I was talking to her today, in potions, and I just feel like maybe, we were meant to meet her." Hermione explained.
"You mean like fate?" I asked.
"Something like that. I just feel so complete now that she is in our lives. She fit in extremely well with us, which isn't an easy thing to do. I really care about her, guys. And I know you both do too."
"I didn't say anything, but I do know what you mean. And honestly, my scar has been tingling." I explained, blushing.
"Tingling?" Ron laughed.
"Shut up. But yeah. Its not painful, its almost pleasant. When she's around me."
"Thats weird. Do you think it could have anything to do with your connection to You-Know-Who?" Hermione asked me.
"I'm not sure. But I think I will ask Dumbledore about it." I decided.
"I think I know what you mean too. Its almost like we're family. I care about her like I care about you lot." Ron said. Which is saying a lot for him.
"I'm glad we're all on the same level." Hermione smiled. "I know she feels the same about us as well. She is honestly so grateful for our friendship. I've never met a more pure, kind hearted person in my life."
"Come on. Let's head to Defence Against the Dark Arts. I'm sure Callie will meet us there." I said, getting up and heading out the door with Ron and Hermione beside me.
By the time we reached the DADA classroom and took our seats, Calliope was already there.
She turned to face us "WAAZZAAAAA?!" She yelled at us, causing Hermione and I to burst out laughing, knowing it is from a muggle movie, while Ron stood there completely confused
"I think its time we commit her." He mumbled.
"I heard that, Weasley! Your brothers would never allow that!" Calliope scolded him as he sat beside her, while I sat beside Hermione.
Professor Lupin walked in and started his lesson, we were to be learning about boggarts, creatures that take shape of a persons biggest fear.
When Neville was up and his boggart turned into professor Snape in his grandmothers clothes, the whole class was excited to give it a try. Everyone except Calliope, who moved to the back of the room, away from the line.
As it was my turn to go, I almost thought of Voldemort, but then I remembered the dementor on the train and before I could dwell on it, the large jack-in-the-box in front of me whirled and turned into a dementor. I raised my wand to say the spell, but suddenly Calliope was standing beside me and pushed me away as Lupin took on the boggart himself. The dementor turned into a full moon.
"Ridikulus!"
The boggart turned into a balloon losing air, squealing around the room before Lupin slammed it back into the wardrobe.
