Harry's POV

As the strange, but beautiful girl passed out and fell to the floor, Dumbledore, Snape and McGonagall immediately jumped to their feet and ran to the girl, Flitwick running out the back, no doubt to get Madame Pomfrey.

"What the bloody hell just happened?" Ron asked. "Who is she?"

"I have no clue. But she looks like she's been through hell and back." Hermione muttered with a nervous expression on her face. "Did you see the cuts and bruises on her?"

"Yeah. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough." I tried to act nonchalant about it, but I noticed my scar warming pleasantly as I looked at the girl laying on the floor.

Dumbledore's POV

As Madame Pomfrey showed up and levitated the unconscious girl to the hospital wing, I turned to walk back in front of all of the students still questioning what was happening.

"Well, students, we definitely had a bit of a surprise tonight. I, however, would like to tell you all not to panic as there is definitely no threat to any of you. Now, all of you enjoy your meals, Prefects, once supper is over please take the students back to the common rooms." I informed everyone before swiftly walking out of the Great Hall towards the hospital wing.

Walking into the large white room, I saw Severus standing over the girl with a strange look on his face.

"Severus?" I asked softly. "Is there something you would like to tell me?"

"Albus." He began, almost as if he had a lump in his throat. "It's her."

"I figured. How did she escape?" I asked curiously.

"I'm not sure. They always claimed she didn't know magic as she was only seven when she was abducted, I never believed that though. There is no way Cassia would ever allow that. She wanted her to know all she could."

"I believe so too. Six years later. She has been planning this since she was seven years old. She must have been able to apparate. That is the only explanation."

Staring down at the sleeping girl, with bruises on her face and arms, a freshly split lip and dark circles under her eyes. "Poppy. What is her condition?"

"Oh, Albus." She sighed sadly. "The poor thing has been beaten and tortured over and over. I checked her bones and they had been broken so many times, luckily they all healed back together in the same place, I think someone must have been helping her with that."

As she said this I noticed Severus glance away, telling me all I needed to know. That he was healing her over the last six years.

"Is there a way we can wake her, Poppy? We need to talk to her about what she is doing here."

"Of course, Albus. The poor thing is exhausted though. Make sure you make it quick." She muttered as she took a potion and dabbed some of it on the roof of the girls mouth.

Slowly she opened her eyes and groaned softly, glancing up and Severus and I with a soft smile. "What up, Sev? I missed you so much I just had to break out and come see you."

"What happened to you, Calliope?" He questioned her softly.

"Well, I knew I had to come and find Dumbledore, of course." She smiled brightly up at me, even though her expression was tired. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, sir. My name is Calliope Riddle." She held up a scarred hand towards me, which I shook gently.

"It is nice to meet you, Calliope. I knew your mother and father. Your mother was such a spectacular woman. I see a lot of her in you, already." I smiled warmly.

"Thank you so much sir, you have no idea how much that means to me." She said with a watery smile as she gripped the locket around her neck. "But, I suppose I should tell you everything, shouldn't I?"

"That would be lovely, my dear." I pulled up a chair and made myself comfortable as Minerva and Severus stood beside the girls bed as she recounted her life story.

After Calliope told her story, Minerva wiping at the tears rolling down her face as she put a comforting hand on the girls' shoulder, I finally stood. "Calliope. I would be honoured to have you attend Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as was your mother's wishes."

"Thank you so much, professor!" She beamed brilliantly.

"Would you like to go by your mother's maiden name? I know a lot of the students here would not take too kindly to anyone with the last name Riddle." Minerva asked the girl.

"No. Unfortunately, Riddle is the name my mother wanted me to go by. She always said that I can't just ignore where I come from. My father is a monster, but he is still my father. Although I have no loyalty to him and his cause, I can't pretend I am someone I am not. I also know if I make a friend with the last name 'Hope', they would want nothing to do with me once they find out I am a 'Riddle'. I believe that would be even worse than not having friends at all. Thank you for the offer though, professor." Calliope said sternly.

"Of course, dear. I will leave you to rest, during tomorrow's feast we will sort you into your house." Minerva patted the girl's hand and went towards the hospital wing door, I knew she was waiting for Severus and myself.

"Well, I supposed I should call you Professor Snape now, eh?" She smiled.

"Yes, Calliope. That would probably be best." He smiled slightly.

"Alright, professor. I'll see you in potions I'm assuming."

"That you will. Good night." He said as he turned and also walked towards Minerva.

"Sleep well, Calliope. I will see you tomorrow."

"Good night, professor." She smiled before cuddling down in her bed.

"Albus, should we tell Molly Weasley?" Severus asked quietly once the three of us were outside the hospital wing.

"Not right now, Severus. I think Calliope needs to adjust. Molly assumed she was dead once she heard the news of Cassia. She can wait to find out the truth a little longer."

"Albus, how do you think Potter will react?" Minerva asked quietly.

"I honestly have no idea." I shook my head sadly.
