As I was walking back toward the Gryffindor common room that evening, feeling better than I had in weeks, I spotted Harry up ahead.

"Oi! Harry!" I yelled, running to catch up with him.

He spun around quickly, looking startled before running towards me and catching me in his arms tightly.

"Oof." I said as he crushed me against his chest, ignoring how my heart was fluttering. "You saw me two hours ago, Harry. Hard to believe you missed me that much."

"I know." Was all he said, his chin still resting on my head.

I immediately tensed up. The prophecy Dumbledore showed me my first night at Hogwarts.

I slowly pulled out of Harry's grasp. "You know why I didnt tell you, right?"

"I'm not going to let you die. Prophecy or not. Ron, Hermione and I all know it. We could never let anything happen to you. Its fate that you came into our lives. Now you have to stay." He smiled slightly, pushing my hair out of my face.

"There's no such thing as fate."

"Then there's no such thing as prophecies." He smiled sweetly.

"How about this," I started. "We ground each other. We are both more than ready to die to save the ones we love, so how about we keep each other from doing that."

"I think thats a great idea." He smiled, finally glancing at my messy look. "What were you up to?"

"I met a dog and we became friends so I transformed into my animagus form and we ran around for awhile." I shrugged.

"Only you." He said, laughing. He wrapped his arm around my neck and started walking towards the Gryffindor common room again.

"Yeah, well, what can I say?" I shrugged, wrapping an arm around his middle and laying my head on his shoulder, thinking back on it, this is always how we walk when we're alone.

"So, how are you feeling now?" I asked quietly.

"Angry." Was all he said.

"Harry, being angry is not going to bring your parents back. You can hate Sirius Black all you want, but hatred won't bring James and Lily back. It seems like an awful big waste of time to be angry at something you couldn't change. Everything will sort itself out in the end, getting yourself killed by Black because youre to angry to think straight is only going to be doing him a favour." I said.

"I'm not like you, though. I can't see the silver lining in every situation like you can." He pulled away from me and I took a step back. "I cant just say 'I'm going to be happy' and then instantly be happy. I've been through a lot and I cant help being bitter about some things. I'm sorry I'm not more like you." He said as we reached Sir Cadogen's portrait (the fat lady was still out of commission after Sirius Black had slashed her portrait) and I could tell his temper was rising.
