CHAPTER 11: The Night (Part One)

(Xyrene’s POV)

I woke up early today. Today also is our party. Last night I talked to Henry, he said that he’s going to pick me up tonight at my house. At first I refused, but he insisted to fetch me up. In the end, I just agreed with it. I already said it to Dad and Mom; they just gave me their playful looks. But in conclusion they are happy about it.

“Good morning Ate! Hurry up! Tonight’s our party! Kelangan natin mag beauty rest. We must make boys drool over us.” And she winked at me. Naughty young lady.

“Ok baby. Let’s just eat our breakfast first then we go the parlor. Anyways, is someone going to fetch you up?” I asked her as I sit on our table.

“Manang, can you call Mommy and Daddy? They said it’s their off today.” Manang just nodded.

“So back to you young lady, so anyone?” I asked her while preparing our plates. We’ll just wait Mom and Dad.

“Wala Ate eh, pero magpapahatid na lang ako kay Manong. I don’t want to ruin your moment with your date.” She chuckled at me. I just rolled my eyes at her.

“So good morning Ladies!” Dad said to us then kissed our cheeks. Then Mom also kissed us.

“So let’s start!” Jessica said then took a piece of pancake.

“So Jessy Baby, any suitors? Like Ate?” Dad asked as he is looking at me playfully. I just raised my eyebrow. Why do they have to be like this early this morning?

“Nah, ok nang si Ate muna. Hahahahaha. Mamaya masapawan ko sya, awayin nya pa ako.” Then they laughed out loud.

“Wala naman problema saamin yon Baby, basta ipakilala mo saamin. Saka kelangan yung talagang gusto mo ha?” Mom said to her.

“So ikaw Xy? Saan mo naman nakilala si Mr. Ford?” Dad asked me. Great! I’m now in the hot seat.

“Dad, please I don’t have time now to have story-telling.” I said as I’m drinking my coffee. Wow! Just really wow! It’s really great to have a coffee in the morning.

“Okay, just don’t forget to tell it to us.” As Mom winked at me, I just nodded as an answer.

“I’m going up first Baby; I need to take a bath. So you too ok? We’ll just go together.” I said then excused myself and went upstairs.

I finished up drying my hair; I just putted on a simple dress. We’re just going to the parlor anyway. I went downstairs then I saw Jessica with a simple shorts and a simple blouse, it looks good on her.

“Done checking me out Ate? Hahahahaha. Tara na! Kelangan natin ilampaso ang mga girls dun! Hahahaha.” I just laughed at her. Buti na lang hindi nya nakuha ugali ko.
