I sat on the chair, leaning my arms on the table as my head lay in between them. My eyes stayed closed as every so often i kept wiping my tears away.

I hated myself, the fact I was too young for Daryl.  I was the end of the world, rules don't matter anymore, especially the Law.

Maybe he still didn't think it was right or Rick scared hin away from it. Or maybe he just doesn't like me the same way I like him.

My thoughts stopped when I herd the door opening and saw Glenn walk in, his hand holding his head as his face looked I'm pain.

I looked up at him and covered myself with a smile and laughed "rough night?" I chuckled as he nodded back and groaned. He sat on the chair beside me and rested his elbows on the table.

I laughed again at his state as I saw Lori and Carl walk in. "Hi Aura, how are you?" She asked as Carl smiled at me, sitting on the other side of me

"I'm fine" I told her, but mostly myself as my thoughts kept starting and ending with Daryl.

After a couple of minutes more and more people came in, greeted us and sat down to have separate conversations with themselves

"Are you hung over?" I heard Carl say to his father as he sat down "mom said you would be" he fished as he laughed

"Mom is right" he said to him. Looking over to Lori who smiled.

"Mom has that annoying habit" she laughed as T-Dog made some eggs, passing them over to gelnn

"Protein, good for hangovers" he told him as he pushed some on his plate as Glenn groaned in pain again

"Never, ever, ever let me drink again" he mumbled as Dale rubbed his back

"Hey!" Rick shouted over to his friend; Shane "feel as bad as I do?" He asked him as he made himself coffee

"Worse"

He walked back as I noticed he had scars along his neck. T-Dog noticed them to as he asked "what happened to you. Your neck?"

"I must of done it in my sleep" he said as he sat down. I could see the lie straight through him he tried to make a quick excuse

"I've never seen you do that before" rick said as Shane

"Me neither. Not like me at all" he said as he glanced at Lori.

I thought how obvious it was they had a thing. Either Rick knew or didn't want to belive it, everything I've seen so far in this group have shown signs of cheating. I didn't want to say anything so I kept my mouth closed, dreading to think what Shane would do to me if I told Rick.

"Good morning" Jenner said to us as we said 'hi Doc' back

"Hey doc. I don't mean to slam you with questions first thing" I heard Dale say, but the rest became a blur as my eyes focused on Daryl standing over at the table, far away from me.

"You're staring" Carol nudged me as she chuckled. "I'm sorry for trying to get you to tell me what happened earlier. It wasn't any of my business" she told me

"No, I'm sorry. I was the one who snapped, you were just trying to help" I reassured her as I turned to look at Daryl again. But my eyes quickly moved away as I saw he was watching me too. His face looked full of regret as he saw me looking sadder than usual, and he was the only one who could look past my fake smile.

I built walls to keep these type of people out, but I always end up letting them in anyway and theh destroyed everything I've made to keep me sane.
