Nightkit lay next to his mother, Squirrelleap, his sister Shinekit, had died two sunrises earlier, and his father Shadowheart, was in the Warrior den, Squirrelleap woke up, making Nightkit wake up "Mama?"he asked, the she-cat sat up ignoring her son "Mama?"he repeated
"Yes Nightkit?"she asked
"Where are you going?!"he asked concerned
"For a walk"she meowed licking her kit, she didn't know it be the last time she saw her kit

Squirrelleap made her way swiftly, and silently to the edge of The Thunderpath, she smelled squirrel, she hopped into a hunting crouch and stalked the squirrel, she finally leaped and it ran onto the Thunderpath, she chased after it, and out of nowhere a Monster zoomed by, hitting her, she made her way, weakly to the edge of the Thunderpath, of DawnClan territory, the next morning, Shadowheart was leading the border patrol, by the Thunderpath, the cats on the Patrol were, Him, his apprentice, Robinpaw, Coldfang, and his apprentice Thistlepaw, and Squirrelleaps former apprentice, Stormpaw, Stormpaw randomly meowed "I smell Squirrelleap!"
"Same and blood!"added Robinpaw, Thistlepaw just nodded, the apprentices lead the way to her body
