ELLIOT'S POV
My head was pounding. There were broken glass everywhere. I looked to my right and that's when I saw her,unconscious,both legs trapped and her arms wrapped around around her stomach like a protective shield. Oh my God,she's bleeding. I reached for my radio that was holstered to my hip and called for help. I then tried to open the door but it was jammed so I used the radio to break the window. I climbed out the broken window and just then help arrived.
"Over here. OVER HERE! She needs help. Her legs are trapped and she's pregnant and bleeding down there!",yelled to the paramedics.
"Sir we need to check you out.",one of the said.
"I'm fine! Help her!!",I angrily said.
"How did you get out?",the other asked.
"I climbed out the window. Are we gonna stand here and make small talk or help her!!",one of them went to check on Liv. They broke backseat window.
"Pulse is weak but there. We need to put an IV in her NOW!",the paramedic yelled.
"Sir,we need you to climb back into that window and help us help your wife,okay?"
Wife?
"Uh...yean,sure.",I shrugged it off. I climbed through the window. The paramedic gave me something to stabilize her neck.
"I'm gonna guide you through it all okay.",the paramedic said. I nodded. "First you gotta find nice vein on her arm. Find the blood flow."
"Got one!"
"Now insert this.",he gave me an IV and I did as I was told. Liv started to come to.
"E...E..El?"
"Liv,baby,i'm right here."
"What h...h...happened?"
"We we're in an accident."
"Oh my God! Is my baby alright? Oooh....I think my water just broke. El i'm having contractions and I can't move my legs...Aaaaaah,,uh huuuh!!",Liv cried.
"They're gonna cut you out okay,you just hang in there for me."
The rescue squad came and cut her out with the jaws of life. The paramedics put her on a gurney and wheeled her to the ambulance.
IN THE AMBULANCE
"El I wanna push,the baby's coming NOW!!",she screamed at the top of her lungs. The paramedic checked how far dilated she was.
"She's ten centimetres dilated. She's ready to push.",he said. He turned to Liv."On the count of three,I want you to give me a great,big push okay?",Liv nodded.
"Okay 1...2...3 push!"
"Aaaaaaah...El,you son of a bitch!!"
"You're doing great baby,you're doing great."
"You did this to me you bastard!!"
What? Did she just say...? No no no no. It's just the pain she's in. She's not thinking straight. Yeah,that's it.
"Okay,on three. 1...2...3.."
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah...I can't do this anymore."
"The head's out. Just one more big push.",paramedic said.
"You hear that Liv? Just more big push and then your baby will be here."
"1...2...3 push."
"Aaaaaaaaaaah!!",and then the cries of a newborn filled the air.
"It's a boy.",the paramedic said." Would you like to cut the cord,daddy?",I nodded,savouring the moment.
"Congragulations Liv.",I said. All of a sudden Liv flatlined. The beep filled the air. "What's going on? What's happening?",I asked,panicking. I took the baby from the paramedic and covered it with a blanket.
"She's lost a lot of blood. We're losing her!!"
I just stood there holding the baby boy tight to my chest.
