--SNAPE'S POV--
I yawned, woke up and quickly got dressed. It seemed inevitable that the girl would ask many questions. I still do not understand why Dumbledore thinks she has so much potential. A 14 year old girl who just started to believe magic existed? The whole concept baffled me.
I got some books, most covering each subject that students in year one learned. We would take this a year at a time to build up her skills. I put them on the table in the living room and walked towards her door. I pursed my lips and knocked.
"Genevieve? Wake up!" I yelled, thinking she was still asleep.
There was no responce, so I knocked again. Nothing.
I sighed and entered her room and took a look around. Nothing really had changed, but her duffel bag was empty. I walked up to the bed and hesitantly shook her shoulder. The last time I did this she pounced assuming I was James.
"Genevieve. Wake up." I said.
She tossed and turned, then opened her eyes looking around. She was startled at first, but before I could ask her how she was a calm and grateful smile spread on her lips.
"Huh. So it wasn't a dream? You saved me from Jame's almost killing me... and magic is real." She ended in a hushed tone.
"Yes. Be glad you are alive. Now get up, change, and come down to the kitchen. You have much to learn, but no information can be retained on an empty stomach." I stated then walked out of the room.
After a couple minutes she came out, wearing ripped up dark jeans and a plain green shirt.
"Time to learn, right? Where are the books? How much do I have to read? Any potions? Wands?" She asked and looked around.
I stepped back. My facial expression clearly questioned how eager she was.
"You shall eat breakfast, then read. I have some business to attend to, I expect you to have completed one to two books, and have questions ready for me, alright?" She nodded, looking at the large stack of books.
"Well, this is gonna be fun." She said with a hint of sarcasm. Honestly, she actually did look excited. Another trait I rarely see, especially from young adolescent children.
I smirked and put a plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of her, on top of the stacks of books.
"See yah later!" She said as I walked out, making my way back to Albus.
------2 HOURS LATER-----
Walking back to my humble abode, I was pondering what Dumbledore told me last.
"Have fun dealing with the Genius, Severus."
What did that mean? It can't be possible that the girl finished all those books.
I chuckled to myself as I opened the door and found Genevieve sitting, legs crossed, reading a book with an intense look on her face. I sighed, she was almost like a carbon copy of my first love. She reminded me of her so much as well. The way she acted, the way she talked. How she always seemed confident as if she knew all the answers to the world... Does she have any connection with her by blood? I'll have to question her about anything she remembers.
She whipped her head toward me after a few minutes, her copper hair turning around her. I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Hi," she waved.
I closed the door and walked in, then sat across from her.
"How is the reading going? Did you read one, or two books?" I asked smugly.
