GENEVIEVE'S POV
"Wake up, Genevieve." Pansy said, snapping her fingers next to my ear. I groaned and got up, squinting my eyes to protect them from burning. Damn sun was so bright today, I thought.
"Thanks Pansy..." I said, tying my hair.
"No problem. If I hadn't woken you up, you'd be late and not make your trip to Hogsmeade. And to be fairly honest, you're better than the idiots in this room." She responded, fixing her shirt while looking in the mirror. I chuckled, knowing that she was being as nice as possible, and got dressed. Since we didn't need to wear uniforms, I wore red converses, dark wash skinny jeans and a white polo.
When I got out, she grinned and looked around at the others, who were still sleeping.
"EVERYONE GET UP OR YOU'LL BE LATE AND BE LONERS ALL BY YOURSELVES! MOVE YOUR ARSES AND LET'S GO!" She shouted, ringing a silver bell.
They got up in a shocked state and started running around, in panic mode. I laughed and walked over to her while looking at the girls, eyebrow raised and a smirk on my lips.
"Since when did you have a bell?" I asked.
"Since second year, when no one would ever wake up. First time I used it this year, too. Now let's go eat." She said, and started to walk. I followed her down the stairs and through the corridors.
We sat down at the Slytherin table to find not that many people showed up just yet, except for the Professors.
"What time was it when you woke me up, Pansy...?" I asked, looking around.
"Seven fifteen, I'm guessing. I felt like getting a head start." She smiled while putting a pancake on her plate. Ha! What lies.
"Okay, Pansy, what do you want?" I asked, afraid of what was going to come.
"Oh, I thought you'd never ask! So, remember when you made the forks go up in the air and bend... and stuff?" She asked with wide eyes. I nodded, clearly confused.
"Well, show me how to do it." She said, crossing her arms. I chuckled.
"Pansy, I don't know how I do it. Dumbledore says I'm 'special,' but--"
"Just teach me!" She demanded while flicking her wrist. I shrugged then made the utensils levitate in the air.
"So, how do you do it? Do you have to really concentrate?" She asked, grinning like a fool.
"...No. I just think about them floating, and they float. Sometimes I say things to make them float as well." I said.
"Tell me what you say, that'll probably work." She demanded once she failed trying to levitate the plates with her mind.
"Adepto laminis suscipit elementum." I said simply. The plates flew up into the air again.
"Sorry... You try." I said, setting the plates back down once again.
"Adepto... laminis... suscupit... elementum!" She said, smirking. Her face fell when the plates did not rise.
"Well, that sucks. Maybe it's just not in you, kid." I said and patted her shoulder. She frowned and put fruit in her plate.
"...Load of garbage..." She said as she shoved the food into her mouth.
------
"Permission Slips." Snape said monotonously as everyone formed two straight lines. Pansy shoved a first year to the back of the line so I could be next to her.
