---ONE MONTH LATER: JULY 8TH---
---SNAPE'S POV---
I was in my office in the middle of the day, thinking about my curriculum for this year's Potions classes, when someone knocked on my door. I sighed, the entire ordeal stressed me out every year.
"Come in." I muttered. Genevieve opened the door and smiled, though her eyes were cast with fear.
"Hi Professor Snape.." She said in her American accent. She stood leaning against the door trying to avoid my gaze while thinking deeply.
"Yes, Genevieve? You seem nervous, what is it?" I kept looking down at my work, however a twinge of worry crossed through my thoughts for a split second.
"Dumbledore wants you in his office. Now. I think it's bad... he seemed apprehensive." She swallowed. "His eyes weren't even twinkling like they normally do." She said as she bit her lip.
I looked up, startled by what she told me. Dumbledore, apprehensive? At rare times he did seem so, but only around the people he trusted the most.
"Alright. I'm on my way then." She nodded and left. I closed my book, locked the door, and headed off to his office.
"Sherbet Lemon," I said to the gargoyle. He stepped aside and let me in the Headmaster's tower. I entered Dumbledore's office. I saw him pacing back and forth, lips pursed, and looking very apprehensive.
"Albus, what is it? You sent the girl to tell me to see you..." He looked at me with his abnormally sad blue eyes, then threw me a light manilla envelope.
"Look inside..." He managed to say without his voice shaking. I furrowed my eyebrows together in mild confusion and disquietness. This cannot be good. I opened the envelope and took out a sheet of paper, with gold rims around it. Typical from the Ministry of Magic.
I sighed and read it. Then re-read it slowly, at least seven times, before I rancorously looked up at the Headmaster, my core shaken with panic and anger.
I slamed the paper on his desk lividly, my mask slowly crumbling and my true emotions showing. I looked away, then back at Albus, tears of sadness and anger forming in my eyes.
"It can't be... There must be some mistake, Albus... Send a new flask of her blood, anything." I said imploringly. This could not be right, not a chance in hell it could! The Ministry must have made an error. Something went wrong. The fools probably mixed it up with other blood. The names were printed incorrectly. Anything but this outcome.
"I did, Severus. The results came back less than a month ago. I couldn't believe it without some sort of verification- maybe they made a mistake, everyone does. I acquired more of her blood. I sent a fresh vial each week, and the causatum was exactly the same, every time. By the fourth try I realized that there was no mistake. I'm frightened about what will happen to her." He said. My eyes widened a bit. Usually people would look up to Albus for advice because, he was in one word, fearless. He was fearless when he told me about Potter, and about everything else he confided in me. But this was different.
I swallowed, "So am I. Why did you keep this information from me? No, never mind that. Why did he impregnate Lily, out of all people? Why not someone else?" I said, tears forming in my eyes again. He was going to die. He killed her and made her bear his child? The thought made me boil with rage.
Albus shook his head, pushing his glasses back up from sliding down his nose.
"I think Voldemort impregnated Lily just because he needed someone to bear his child incase anything happened to him. A future heir to Salazar Slytherin. Maybe even an apprentice to the Dark Lord. My prediction was, before Voldemort killed Lily, she gave birth to Genevieve, and kept her away from the world at all times until Lily sent her off to an orphanage for her protection. And after she was born, Voldemort could have possibly forgotten about his daughter. Then Lily had Harry, and she was murdered. It makes sense... Genevieve was born in the beginning of January. Harry was born at the end of July. It is reasonable. Difficult, but possible" He finished with his theory.
