-GENEVIEVE'S POV-
Nagini rested on my shoulders as Professor Snape led me around the castle to a room. It had rows, seats, it looked like a classroom. With a flick of his wand, the tables and chairs cleared either to the left or right, making way more space. He closed the window's shades as he walked across from me, then turned on his heel, glaring.
"Now, we will be learning how to block unfriendly spells, to defeating Boggarts. It will take time and concentration, seeing as though you have had your wand for less than twenty four hours. We will begin by doing simple spells, 'exercises' if you will. If you cannot perform these, we cannot move on, and I will have to spend a couple of weeks teaching you how to use your wand, even though you have already practiced with mine." He took out a feather and strode towards me.
"Levitate the feather, Genevieve." He said, the white feather resting in his palm. I cleared my throat and flicked my wand.
"Wingardium Leviosa." The feather slowly started to rise. I grinned.
"Hit me with your best shot, Professor. What's next?" I asked eagerly.
"If you are in a dark room, what do you do?" He asked, grabbing the feather from the air and folding his arms.
"Lumos." I murmured. The tip of my wand gave out a blue light.
"Extinguish it." He said simply.
"Nox." My wand stopped illuminating the room.
"Hmm, very good. Now tell me, Riddle, what is the difference between Mobiliarbus and Morbilicorpus?" He asked. I chuckled as he called me Riddle.
"Well, if you must know, Mobiliarbus moves an object from one place to another, while Morbilicorpus moves a body." I answered. He looked at me and scowled. I just smirked. He couldn't scare me.
"I think you are ready to perform defense spells, seeing that you can perform simple ones and have the knowledge of them as well." I nodded. He went back to where he was before, then looked at me.
"Now, the first thing you shall learn is taking a wand out of someone's hand. Disarming them. I will try it on you first, be prepared." I nodded and looked him straight in the eyes.
"Expelliarmus!" He yelled, my wand flying back to him.
"Well, that sucks!" I said as I went up to him and took my wand. I went back.
"Now, try it on me." He said. I bit my lip.
"Expelliarmus!" I commanded. The wand flew to me, and I caught it with one hand. Snape looked pretty impressed.
"I thought we'd have to do that multiple times. Good, now give it back." I nodded and threw it to him, too lazy to walk over to him. He caught it, but scolded me for it.
We went on for another hour, learning different spells and such. Some of them took me two times to get, others seemed as easy as blinking.
"It appears like you have learned enough information to duel me, Genevieve." He said. I grinned and walked up to him.
"Really? How do I duel? Are there rules and stuff?" He nodded.
"Go back to where you were before. We both then walk to the middle, bow, and return to our original spots. I'll let you you first." He said. I giggled and nodded.
"We shall duel to the death, just like they did during the Middle Ages!" I said, laughing. He just rolled his eyes and waited till I was at my spot. Then, we walked to each other.
"Prepare to get your mind blown, Professor." I said as we bowed. He didn't respond as we turned around and walked back. I looked at him, thinking of what spell I should use.
