The Sacrifices of Fame

Chapter One

I'm in the living room with Normani, Ally, and Bea watching a movie. I thought living on a tour bus with six girls was going to be horrible. But its turning out a lot better and I'm having a lot of fun. Fifth Harmony and Bea Miller agreed to be my opening acts which has been amazing so far. We all get along really well and I'm having a lot of fun.

"Lauren, will you please call your mom?" Taylor asks.

I sigh getting off of Normani's lap and going to the back of the bus. Its a quite space you can go to when you just need to relax. I call mom, after a few rings she answers.

Mom: I've been trying to get in touch with you.

Me: I know mom, I'm sorry I've been busy. What's going on?

Mom: Everything here is okay, it would be so much better if you were here though. What city are you in?

Me: I'm in Chicago right now. But we're halfway though the tour. Next week I'll be with you at camp for the national team. And as soon as this tour is over I'll be with you in France.

Mom: I can't wait, its so late here but I wanted to talk to you. Stop being a stranger. I love you little fighter.

Me: I love you too mom.

I end the call, I decided to move to France with mom. Her and Dad decided to take a break while they're apart but are still together. Dad came to see me before I left for tour. He told me if I ever wanted to come back home, he'll be there waiting.

"Do you miss her?" Lauren asks.

I look up and see Lauren standing in the door way.

"Sometimes." I say.

Lauren walks over and sits down on my lap.

"What do you mean sometimes?" Lauren asks.

"I mean she's my mom and I love her unconditionally. But I can't help but feel like its her fault our family is no longer together." I explain.

"That's understandable. But you have to think about how hard it must have been for your mom to make the decision to leave. It'll hopefully all work out in the end."

I cuddle my head into Lauren so my mouth is on her neck. I can feel her breath hitch when my lips make contact with her skin. Lauren and I sit in a comfortable silence.
