"how do you do, miss sleepy head?" Jisoo asked Ash, who was zoning off in front of her computer.
"OH! uh..it's you..Hi Jisoo.." Ash said rubbing her eyes
"uh, great, thanks for asking. So, I was wondering..would you like to go out with me and my friends and their friends..I mean there are going to be like 7 people and I know 5 of them and my boyfriend also invited two of his friends..would you like to come too?" Jisoo asked handing Ash a cup of instant coffee
"..I don't know..I'm really tired.." Ash said regretfully
"Ash! please! I promise it's going to be fun! we're going to a masquerade party! Doesn't that sound fun?" Jisoo looked at Ash expectedly
"A masquerade ball?! O my! I always wanted to go to one! but..don't we need to wear those huge gowns for it? the one's with..you know the frilly stuff?" Ash asked, a little excited now
"no, those aren't necessary, we can just wear simple gowns, which we own, and we're VIPs, because my boyfriends friend owns the company!" Jisoo winked
"damn! I wanna go then! but I can't go tomorrow..I only have a night off to-"
"we go tonight girl! we get off together and we'll go to your place because mine is far..and I brought my dress and makeup and shoes..so we'll get ready at your place and then..okay what do you prefer, drive there ourselves or..call my boyfriend?" Jisoo asked
"i don't know, I think you should go with your boyfriend, I'll take my own car, I don't like being the third wheel.." Ash smiled brightly
"aw look at you all excited! go home, I'll meet you there when I'm done with my shift!" Jisoo said and Ash nodded.
"Ash! it's almost time! why aren't you ready!?" Jisoo asked as she managed to put her necklace on.
Ash, who was sitting in the corner of the room, with her gown on and fiddling with her phone, completely ignored Jisoo.
"Ash!!! Wake up!" Jisoo shouted which made Ash throw her phone away
"what the hunk jisoo! I am ready! don't you see? you're the only one who's not ready!" Ash replied as she got up and looked at herself in the mirror
"babe, put some makeup on! you look like a sick..zombie!" Jisoo said
"sick zombie? why are you so lame huh?" Ash laughed
"shut up, come here, put this maroon lipstick on!" Jisoo said

"hello ladies! you both look absolutely stunning tonight!" Jisoo's boyfriend greeted Ash and Jisoo
"why thank you future brother in law! You may take your lady with you and let's meet in the parking lot of the hotel?" Ash asked, to which he agreed and they went to their cars.

Ash reached the hotel early, so she was sitting in her car listening to the radio, when someone knocked at the window.
That someone was wearing a mask and it was creepy so Ash didn't roll the whole window down, just a tiny bit, "yes?" she asked
"miss, excuse me, but are you here for the masquerade ball?" the man asked
"ahan! yes, I am..but I'm actually waiting for someone here.." Ash told
"that's alright but can I see you invitation card, please?" the man extended his hand
"I..the people I'm waiting for have my card as well..they're on their way.." Ash said, embarrassed
"I'm afraid, we can't let you park here until you show us the invitation card."
"well..let me call and ask where my card's at!" Ash joked..and laughed at it..
Ash tried calling Jisoo but she wasn't picking her phone
"haha..seems like..the battery died..let me call again.." Ash said
"miss, I'm extremely sorry but you have to move your car, we need to make space for the guests.." the man said
Ash felt like arguing but then she realized she was too tired and somewhat mad at Jisoo now, "well good news, my mood's ruined, thanks to you and my friend, I'll move my car so your freaking late comers can park!" Ash called and drove her car out of the hotels exit.
She was burning with anger, she sent a text message to jisoo telling her she won't be able to join them at the party and then switched her phone off.

"so Ash, where would you like to go now?" Ash asked herself
"oh thanks for asking Ash, I suppose you're hungry, let's eat something!" Ash replied to herself
"I should really stop talking to myself..hm..where should I eat?ah who am I kidding..it's almost the end of the month I cannot afford an expensive meal..I'll buy ramen from the supermarket.." Ash sighed. She parked her car outside her local supermarket and got off. She was wearing a black gown, and gloves and makeup! And even though she looked pretty, the looks people were giving her weren't exactly saying 'you look pretty'..they were somewhat like 'are you crazy?' "yes..I am crazy.." Ash whispered to herself as she stepped inside the store.
