Ash got a call from Haneul, she was dozing off again, with books opened in front of her.
"oh Haneul?" Ash said lazily
"were you dozing off again? how are you going to pass those exams bro?" Haneul said laughing
"I'll..pass em somehow..why did you call man?" Ash asked rubbing her eye and stretching her neck
"I need to facetime you, I want to buy a tie for myself, Yuna isn't available right now and you're the only girl I can ask for help like this.." Haneul said
"so you do realize I'm a girl..okay.." Ash cleaned her face just to be safe
"OH MY! what's wrong with you? haven't you been eating sleeping or..washing your face these days?" Haneul asked shocked by Ash's face
"dude..you know I have exams..I'll show you my beauty after this freaking last paper!" Ash said all determined
"okay, so here are the two choices.." Haneul showed the ties, "which one suits me?" he asked
Ash thought for a minute, "I think the maroon one..BUT, show me around, maybe we can find an even better one.." Ash replied honestly
"okay..I also liked this green one a bit but I'm not sure about these orange lines on it..otherwise the green was goo-"
"THERE!" Ash shouted pointing at something behind Haneul,
Haneul turned to look at it, "this one?" he asked looking at the tie carefully, "this is totally my style..you've a good eye mate!" Haneul complimented
"well.." Ash proudly shrugged
"but Haneul you've got a million ties already..why are you buying a new one?"
"oh Ash! I forgot to tell you..there was another good news besides me being finally allowed in the office.." Haneul said
"a good news? what is it?" Ash asked excited
"I'll tell you later..gotta pay now bye and thanks dude I love ya!" Haneul said cutting the call
Ash shrugged and tried focusing on the book in front of her.

"yeppie!!!!! we're freeeee! for now.." Ash exclaimed jumping up and down with happiness
"FINALLY CHRISTMAS BREAK!" Jisoo shouted excitedly
"my parents are going to Barcelona for the holidays and grandpa and grandma too..because last time all of them came to visit me..and I can't go because..work.." Ash sighed
"aw baby I'm here..we can have fun together..ah but I'm busy on christmas day..I..already have an evening planned with minhyuk.." Jisoo told Ash, "but you can join us!" Jisoo said out of courtesy
"yah! how can I join two love birds!" Ash hit her arm

"..and so Jisoo is busy with..Minhyuk..and I..am all alone.." Ash told Haneul as they cleaned Ash's place together
"first of all, Ash you're really messy, and..a loner..who spends christmas alone?" Haneul asked teasing her
"I do..what about you? are you going to have a dinner with the director? because I feel like you're like family? or oh! maybe a company dinner? or maybe just a little dinner party with Yuna?" Ash asked snatching her left over crisps from Haneul's hands
"no no and no..the director is celebrating with his family..we're not holding a company dinner because the director won't be available and Yuna is no longer a single lady, she is engaged and is celebrating with her fiance.." Haneul said eating the crisps
"that means you're also free on christmas! let's hang out!" Ash suggested, she seemed excited and her eyes were sparkling and Haneul didn't want to break her heart but he did in any case
"who says I'm free..I have an appointment.." Haneul said settling down on the couch
"..really?" Ash asked sulkily,
"I..have a date with a girl.." Haneul said slowly, "a very beautiful girl.." he continued
For a second Ash thought that maybe Haneul is planning to surprise her, her smile reappeared again, "really? what does she look like?" she asked
"well..she has long black hair, a pretty small face, tiny little hands, the prettiest smile..oh she's so huggable.." Haneul smiled as he thought of her
Ash was now sure he wasn't talking about her, so her smile disappeared again, "ahan? what's her name?" she asked, trying not to sound mad
"her name is Jung soon, Kim Jung soo.." Haneul told
"..where did you meet her?" Ash asked, she was getting more and more angry now
"I met her at that cafe we went to after Aeri's wedding three weeks ago..I went there after that and I kind of noticed her..she was cute, totally my type..so I asked her out and she said okay.." Haneul said trying to reach for the bag of crisps but Ash took it away
"so..you've been going out for..three weeks now? and..you noticed herwhile you were there with me?" she asked trying to remain calm,
"yup! isn't that great?" Haneul seemed really happy
"WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK HER WHICH TIE SUITS YOU THEN?!" she finally lost it, she got up and threw the packet of crisps in the trash can
"woah..what happened to you so suddenly? and what crime did those poor crisps commit?" Haneul asked pointing at the trash can
"..will you please leave? I need to sleep." Ash said sternly
"Ash, chill..to answer your first question, I didn't ask her because the dinner is a surprise, she thinks she's only coming over for coffee BUT, she isn't...am I not smart? aren't you proud of me? and second question, hmm..I can leave but it's too early for you to sleep..the sun's still out.." Haneul said pointing out the window
Ash took a deep breath, then, "yes you're really smart! I am so proud of you..you're finally over Aeri, talking about her wedding like no big deal..that's great, also I need to rest, I've been sleep deprived for too long. Honestly, it's great for me too..I'll be alone and I can sleep all I want..everything does work out in the end. Goodbye!" Ash said pushing Haneul out the door and slamming the door on his face
