Eris's Plan

Mikael Toro marched before Eris, bowing at her feet. He looks up to her and she nods, signaling him to stand.

"You called for me, high queen." He says respectfully. She stood from her throne and walked down to him. She slowly started to circle him like prey. He immediately knew she wasn't happy.

"Have you gotten any information from the girl." She asks sternly.

"She refuses to speak. I've tried almost everything." He tells her. She stops dead in her tracks, managing to keep her composure.

"If she refuses to speak, than you haven't tried everything. Tell me Mikael, what have you tried?" She says as she starts to circle him slowly.

"Everything I normally do to break someone." He states. She shakes her head.

"This isn't just a civilian we picked up during a raid. This is a Scorpion. In fact, this is a higher ranking Scorpion. What makes you think she is just going to willingly spill all the Society's secrets?" Eris says, getting dangerously close to him.

"She's a woman. She'll have to break soon." He says plainly. Eris looks at him with daggers in her eyes. She didn't care that Adira was the enemy, she would not let Mikael disrespect her just because she was a woman.

"Not all women break as easily. She seems to have a strength you lack." She smoothly tells him. He looks to the ground.

"What must I do to get the information?" He asks.

"Find her pressure points, and use them to make her suffer."

Shafir walked into the brothel he and Adira investigated a few days earlier. If anyone had information about where Adira was and who took her, they would be here. Normally, the swaying music and women would steal his senses, but the large amount of adrenaline pumping through his blood kept him focused on his mission. Maybe it kept him too focused, because he collided with a woman. He caught her before she could fall to the ground.

"My apologies." He says quickly. She smiles and gets close to him.

"No need to apologize. You look like a man with a plan. Tell me, what brings you here tonight because it clearly isn't the women." She asks smoothly. He looks down for a split second before locking eyes with her.

"I'm looking for my sister. I'm afraid something happened to her." He tells the woman. She looks up, as if she were trying to recall a specific event. This made Shafir cautious, but willing to listen to what she had to say.

"I saw some men out back trying to constrain a woman. She was hooded, so I couldn't see her face." She says. A hooded woman: this had to be Adira. Strange as to why they would bring her here before taking her somewhere else, but he had no idea of their motives.

"Show me where they went. Please, I can't lose her." He practically begged. The woman smiled and took his hand. They started walking towards the back to the building, passing various people engaged in various activities. She opened the door to the back alley and let him take the lead.

"How long ago did you see them with her?" He asks, turning to the woman. She smirks impishly as she takes a step towards him. Before he could recognize what she was doing, she pinned him to wall and forced a drug down his throat. She stepped away from his as he collapsed to the ground. The last thing he saw was a group of Vipers closing in on him.

Mikael walked into the sunroom next to Eris as she watched the event taking place in the courtyard. There was a training session going on for the born Vipers, and things were starting to become intense as two fought for their lives. Mikael waited until one spilt the blood of the other to tell Eris the good news.
