Ammon looked at Adira lovingly. He never expected, in a million years, that he would fall this deep for anyone, especially after Jalila. She was everything he needed. She was the air in his lungs, he couldn't live without her.

"I'm turning in for the night. I'll see you two tomorrow." She says, standing up. Ammon smiles at her, partially wishing she would stay.

"I'll be there soon my love." He tells her, kissing her hand before letting her go. He waited until she was out of sight and sound before leaving to go to Natara's (Adira's mom) room. Slowly, he walked and thought about how he was going to ask her mother the question. He pulled out his mother's necklace, the thing he was going to propose to Adira with. He had to do this, there was no other option. If he wanted to be with her forever, he had to ask for her mother's blessing.

Ammon knocked on the door leading into Natara's room. He continued to fiddle with the necklace he had laced between his fingers. He was definitely nervous, but he also couldn't wait to ask. He didn't want to live without Adira. Natara opened the door.

"Ammon, its the middle of the night, is everything okay?" She asks sleepily. He looks down with a smile.

"Yes, everything is fine. I just wanted to ask you a question." He says, clearly nervous. Natara smiles and invites him in. She offers him a seat and a cup of tea, which he happily accepts. She sits across from him.

"So, what do you want to ask?" Natara says. He takes a deep breath, giving the necklace a tight squeeze.

"I love Adira, more than I've loved anything before. Not only is she beautiful, which isn't the only thing I like about her, but she is an amazing fighter and diplomat. She's everything to me. I-I want to marry her. I would take good care of her and make sure she's happy. Gods, I just want to keep her happy until the day I die. I would like your blessing. Since Nizam disowned her, my first thought was to ask you." He spits out. Natara smiles.

"Of course. You two share a special bond, a bond I've never shared, not even with Nizam. You've taught her how to truly love, and in return she has taught you how to value life. You have my blessing. Take care of my baby girl." She says. He smiles stupidly.

"Yes ma'am. Thank you so much." He basically laughs, wiping tears from his face. She smiles at him.

"Go. Be with her." She tells him. He nods and thanks her again before walking out the room. He starts running to his room. He didn't want to waste any time getting to her. Happily, he burst into the room with childlike energy, causing Adira to look up to him.

"What's got you in such a good mood?" She teases, walking over to wrap her arms around he waist. Before she could get there, he picked her up and spun her around.

"Hey! Put me down." She squeaks. He puts her down, instantly pulling her into a kiss when he does. She wraps her arms around his waist and buries her face into his chest. Slowly, the start rocking back forth, as if they were dancing.

"Seriously, what's gotten into you?" She laughs. He pulls her into another soft kiss.

"I'm with the most amazing woman in creation. Why wouldn't I be happy?" He smiles.

"Whatever. I'm going to bed." Instead of letting her go, he picks her up bridal style and walks her over to the bed. He crawls in after her, pulling her close to his chest. She rested her head in his chest to listen to his heartbeat sing her to sleep. When she was finally asleep, he pushed a lock of hair from her face and kisses her forehead.

"I love you Ra."
