~Part I, Buddy~

Aglaia fell in love with her silver little buddy and they went everywhere together. They hunted for berries, scouted for useful leafs, and even slept together in the same position. The boys had found it weird but they kept quiet unless they wanted their faces bitten clean off. She managed to add her new hip attachment to the family. Gecko got a little jealous, but Aglaia didn't seem to notice.

They've heard a big commotion about five dragonets, which they don't exactly get. Why make such a ruckus about a bunch of weird kids? The description of the Sandwing sounds awfully familiar, though. Gold sunny scales and all the unique characteristics, quite accurate. They hadn't heard much of anything else about the mysterious squad of dragons other then the fact that Gecko and Aglaia are the same age of them, and about how outraged people are about them.

The quad of freinds had been out, lurking around a decently big area of civilization. Aglaia felt something bad in her gut about the town as she felt a tingling sensation around the crook of her left wing, the wing that had been twisted. Now it's sensitive, weirdly healed, and it looks like there's a rapid build-up of something under the skin. She ignored it for now. Aglaia crouched down in a cat-like hunting position as she hid her sloth, Silver, with her underbelly as the boys hid under her camouflaged wings as they crept into the town and slowly made their way to the food-abundant barrels.

Before they knew it, they were ambushed by a great amount of Nightwings. None of them knew exactly how they had spotted them, but it happened. Aglaia and Aldrin skillfully slipped away, only to notice Gecko was strapped down by strong leather ropes. Aglaia tried to get to him, only to get held back by Aldrin as he tried to convince her to go after him. They had developed a sibling relationship, but even that's not enough to stop her from trying to save her best freind.

She felt a terrible sinking in her gut as her purple orbs met Gecko's terrified yellow ones as he was swept away, but she was determined to get him back as she spread her wings and quietly followed the horrible Nightwings, with Aldrin slowly trailing behind her as she angerly stared him down. If he gets hurt, it's Aldrin's fault, Aglaia thought bitterly as she mentally readied her aching wing for a long flight.

~Part II, Safe~

Aglaia's breath became ragged as she entered the ash-thick and heavy air of the volcano, and she felt absolutely miserable. Like something horrible happened in the volcanoe and she was a part of it. Her body felt flushed and sweaty and her usually effective camoflouge barely worked even decently here, but she kept going fowards for Gecko. Anything to save Gecko. Who knows what happened in this short amount of time that they were seperate?

She told Aldrin to cause a distraction, mostly to get him out of her way.  Just looking at him made her fume with anger. She snook around, looking everywhere she could for Gecko. There was an abundance of guards, but that wasn't much of a problem. Her wings sat tightly against her ribs as her eyes darted around the miserable excuse of a home. She wondered if she could just disguise as one of them, but she already feels like she might vomit and faint any second, blending in even more and interacting with them would only make things worse. Even Silver was uncomfortable, he wouldn't stop prodding and squirming around. She was barely able to calm him down.

Is this why Whirlpool told her to avoid Nightwings? Did he somehow know that she would react like this towards their crude enviroment? What does he know that she doesn't? All that she really knows is the forest, Gecko, and the waters. He surely knows much more...

She held back the swiftly building vile up her throat as she quietly glided towards the polluted waters in attempt for just a bit of relief, only to hold back hacking coughs as she found out the water is even worse than the air! Something she never thought possible, only to quickly prove herself wrong. She shook as much water as she could off of her once pristine scales as she continued her search, eager to find her best freind. He always makes the worse of things leave her mind with his endless chatter and his cute antics.

After a while, Aglaia finally found a way to slither past the guards as she entered an even worse area. She uncoutiosly swiped a few scrolls as her eyes met an endless amount of the disgusting volcanic room, filled to the brink with suffering and depression. Filled with the smell of blood and chemicals, all mixing with the constent ash that plagued the air. It made her want to gag up her dinner.

She hissed in fury as she ran towards the bars that held Gecko, but she couldn't get a decent veiw of him. The only thing she could see was his right wing, held up by various clamps. Her claws expertly broke three bars of his imprisonment in one swipe as she squeezed into the encloser, and only just noticing a nice-sized hole on the other end of the bars. But it's not time to care about stuff like that.

Aglaia slowly let her weakened disguise fall and slowly went into Gecko's veiw, only to finally vomit up the once rapidly building vile. There he was, spread up like some sort of ANIMAL, his eyes brokenly screwed shut and every single part of his body bound flush to the crossed peices of rock as if he was a dangerous weapon. Thick layers of blood coated his black-and-red scales as if it were armour, and a plentiful of his scales were murcilessly plucked off of his body in what looked like clumsy talonfuls, some even littering the ash dirtied floor. Blood crusted around his now bare spots like cracked drying clay. It looked as if he cried for years until he finally fell uncautious.

Aglaia took a few short moments to compose herself until she finally stopped dry-heaving. Then, she quickly unclasped the clamps that deeply burried themselves into her love's flesh, and she gently hauled him underneath her, Silver slightly helping to keep him in the air. She used her wings to move around as her talons were protecting someone much too precious to just throw over her back.

It didn't take long for her to simply bite the now seemingly useless scrolls into her mouth and fly away with Geck. Aldrin followed, only to get ignored by Aglaia. She now found him unworthy of her time.

~Part III, Grieving~

Her head hung low as she allowed her tears to soak themself into Gecko's irritated wounds, hoping that her tears would work like they did with Silver. She had ignored Aldrin until he gave up on interacting with her. Aglaia would never forgive him. Ever. Her snout nuzzled against his delicate, bare neck as she weeped, her little buddy attempting to sooth the distraught dragoness as her tears fell out of her eyes like rushing waterfalls.

In attempt to distract her from the traumatic experience, he rubbed the butt of the closest scroll against her gushing wing, trying to make her aware of both things. The infected wing that weeped along with her, and the scroll that tried to sooth it. Possibly about the fact that she's sick, quite easy to tell due to her unusually but feverishly warm body temperature. Aglaia quietly took the scroll from Silver as she read through it, thankfully the ink wasn't as smudgish as the other scroll's were.

Our former subject, Subject hybrid VII, or Moonshine if you please, was impregnated to see what would happen if a neutralist had children with its sibling. We could smell the rot from miles away, but she didn't have such a keen sense of smell.
Sadly, she had found a way to excape. Maybe the Talons Of Peace will take an egg in a sad attempt to carry out the fake prophecy? Either way, the eggs are all probably dead.
The Talons Of Peace robably don't even know about the temperary paralysis that newly hatched dragonets have to go through!
But assuming the way she excaped is how we think, we should use every clamp we can to constrict any subject we get, but lets try to make it equivalent for every single dragon, no mater the age or condition. Take this as a valuable lesson, Nightwing scientists!

It all made her feel even sicker than she already did, she gagged, but there was no more to leave her. Was Moonshine her mother? Was she apart of some dumb prophecy?! Is she the reason her mother might be dead? She felt empty as she quietly whispered a vow of silence, for Gecko and her mother. Silver let out a distressed whine as he nuzzled soothingly against her soaked cheek, in attempt to sooth his depressed companion. This is all turning horrible...
------------

"I told you to get a foreign Nightwing dragonet, not Gecko! Ugh.....
Now I have to make a whole new prophecy...and it was going so well." a raspy voice hissed out coldly.
