We sat on the log circle, slowly being joined by more and more people. We ate some s'mores as peaceful music played in the background.
I checked the time on my phone, 11:15pm. I decided that we should leave now to make sure we are definitely there at 12.
"Hey Ethan? Let's go." I said as I pulled him to his feet. I interlocked our hands as I lead him back to the car. By now we were pretty sober as it had been a couple hours since we had drank, I made Ethan drink a coffee too.
When we got back to the car, there was a little box sat at the edge of the cliff. Ethan looked at me and I looked away suspiciously. We sat on the floor and opened the box to find some food, along with a little package.
Ethan was about to try and open the package when I quickly ripped it from his hands.
"You uhh, you don't open this yet." I said, mumbling slightly as I placed it behind me.
We ate the food as we talked about more memories, some of them being mine. It was so nice to finally be able to talk about these things with someone who knows what it feels like, someone who has been through something similar, or in this case is going through it.
I checked the time and it was 11:50, I decided that it was the right time to open the package. I pulled it out from behind me and handed it to Ethan.
"Okay, you can open it now." I said as I placed it in front of him. He slowly opened the bag, revealing 2 lanterns. Ethan looked at me with a confused expression, and I just smiled. I pulled a pen out of the bag and started to write on one of the lanterns.
Hey Mom! Hey Dad!
I miss you! I hope you're okay up there, can't wait to see you soon!

I then handed the pen to Ethan after he had read what I had wrote. A tear slipped from his eye as he connected the pen with the lantern.
Hey Dad, I'm sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye, so I'm saying it now.
I miss you so much already.
Sleep tight, Dad.
Love Ethan

Ethan put the lid back on the pen as he stared at what he had just wrote. I stood up and pulled Ethan to the edge of the cliff, sitting down and hanging our legs over the edge.
I pulled out the pack of matches that were in the bag with the lanterns as I opened the lanterns up. I lit Ethan's and he held it as I lit mine.
"1...2...3." I said as we both released them and the wind lifted them into the air. Ethan immediately pulled me into his arms and held me tightly.
I checked the time to see that there was 1 minute until 12. The second it turned 12, I pulled away from Ethan and moved his face to look up.
Fireworks flew into the air and the bright colours lit up the darkness. The loud bangs erupted as spirals of colour shot through the sky.
Ethan stood up and pulled me with him, wrapping his arms around me as he stood behind me. He held me as we watched the beautiful fireworks light up the night sky, and I finally felt at peace. I finally felt as if I had accepted it, accepted that they are gone and I'm okay with it.
"Thank you, Blaire." Ethan whispered into my ear, his voice sounding croaky.
"Anytime." I said with a smile, even though he couldn't see it.
The second the fireworks stopped Ethan spun me around and connected our lips. He pulled me in close as our lips moved in perfect sync with each other.
The kiss turned into a passionate make out, full of lust and want. That's when I broke the kiss and lead Ethan over to the car. I opened the back door and pushed the seats backwards so it looked more like a bed. I had put the blankets and pillows in the back and crawled inside, Ethan following.
Ethan pushed me down as he got on top of me and kissed my neck roughly, leaving marks all over my skin. He trailed the kisses lower and lower as he started removing our clothing. Soon, we were only in our underwear.
Ethan kissed me lower and lower, until he had finally reached where he should be. That's when my brain cut off and the only thing I could think about was the intense pleasure that took over my body as Ethan made me feel loved.
