Chapter Fourteen - Moving Forward

Athena's POV

I nervously waited by the phone; my eyes darted towards the clock hanging on the wall. Ever since I was young, wanted to work for a writers firm.

The phone rang and I picked it up so fast.

"Athena Peirce?" a young woman's voice said, I let out the breath that I was holding.

"Yes, this is Athena Peirce" I said into the phone.

"I'd like to inform you that you've got the job, we've also gone over your paper work and Mr. Crystal has give you the opportunity to work from home. He doesn't want any of his employee's to be harm, knowing that you are traveling in a long way" the young woman said, I smiled into the phone and my heart rate was beating extremely fast.

After the phone call ended, I bit my bottom lip and walked into the living room. Everyone looked at me and I smiled widely at everyone

"I got the job, and that's not the best part yet; I get to work from home" I excitedly told them, Kayden stood up and wrapped his arms around me and spun me around.

"I'm so proud of you, congratulations babe" he set me down and kissed my lips, Whitney and Jeremy hugged and I grinned at them.

I start working tomorrow, thank god I have the laptop Jeremy and Whitney brought me.

I start work tomorrow at nine am sharp, I'll be video chatting with Mr. Crystal so I can officially met him; Mr. Crystal will be explaining to me about my job and how I have to edit some manuscripts.

After Kayden and I let Jeremy and Whitney out, Kayden and I cleaned up the house and locked all the doors.

"I'm so proud of you" Kayden panted lying next to me, I pulled the blanket over my shoulder and I laid my head on Kayden's chest.

I traced his tattoos on his chest, Kayden and I were both panting. Kayden gave me a little present, which was Congratulations sex; ever since we've move out of Jeremy's place we've been like sex maniacs.

We can't keep our hands off of each other; all I want to do is jump him all the time.

I got up the next morning and I made Kayden and I breakfast, after we ate together and Kayden cooping a feel.

I went up stairs and had a shower, I loved showers because they un-tense my muscles. Stepping out of the shower I wrapped my towel around myself, I walked into Kayden and I's bedroom.

I pulled my hair dryer into the wall plug. After I blow-dried my hair I curled it and pinned my bangs out of my face, I went on and done my makeup.

"You look so hot" Kayden said and I laughed and pulled on a white blouse and a pencil skirt that stopped just above my knee, I didn't bother with shoes because I'll be working at home and Mr. Crystal won't be able to see my shoes.

"Do you think we have time for a quickie?" Kayden asked, I looked down at his pants to see he had a hard-on. I looked at the time on my laptop, it's eight fourty-five that means we have fifteen minutes.

"Make it quick" I tell him
After Kayden leaves I sit at my desk and log into my laptop, I print out the manuscripts and I begin to edit through them.

A couple hours pass and I'm still editing the manuscripts, a notification pops up on the screen and I press accept.

A man in his forties pops up on the screen, the screen is fuzzy but I don't worry to much about it.

"Athena Pierce?" The man asked

"Yes, that is I" I telled the man

"I am Ryan Crystal; your boss" he says, Mr. Crystal goes through everything I need to know about the company, I thank him for the job and allowing me to work from home.

After I get off video chat with my boss, I call it a day.

I faxed the manuscript I completed the edit back to the firm, I shut down my laptop and went to the bathroom.

I wipe my makeup off, I leave my hair how it is and I change into some sweats and a tank top.

I walk downstairs to see Kayden asleep on the couch, I smile and put a blanket over him.

"Hello Judge" I said an pick him up, he wags his tail and licks my face.

I give him a treat and set him down on the floor, I watch Judge as he runs around trying to catch his tail.

I laugh and switch the TV on, I flick through the channels and leave it on one.

I climb behind Kayden and snuggle into him, he shifts in his sleep and wraps his arms around me.
