This happened at my school hostel which is located in Johor Bahru. I was studying far away from home and so i decided to live in the school's hostel to save money on transportation.

In every room there are 4 beds. I have 3 room mates. All girls because it's a girls' hostel. We became very close quickly and we did everything together.

One night, 3 of us (me and my friends Aliya and Hanis) decided to play a game called : Spirit of the Coin. I wish i could turn back time and not play the game at all. Spirit of the coin is something like the Ouija board. We had the board, you know the basic alphabets lined up neatly, and at the top corner of the board, left and right, there are the 'YES' and 'NO' words.

So when we first started playing it, we were like joking around and didn't take it seriously. Like come on, it's the 21st century. Do ghosts still exist? We were like pushing around the coin on our own. Then suddenly one of my friends decided to get serious about the game.

"Come on let's start playing it seriously. No more pushing around the coin on purpose," said Aliya.

"Alright," both me and Hanis agreed.

All of us placed one finger on the coin. I did the questioning.

"Is there any spirit in this room with us?" i asked.

Nothing happened. The coin didn't move. It was very quiet and the whole aura of the room became very tense.

"Is there any spirit of a small kid in this room?" i asked again.

Again nothing happened.

"Is there any spirit of an elderly in this room?" i continued the questions.

Suddenly, the coin moved towards the 'YES' sign!

"Hey! It's not funny!" Hanis shouted as she removed her finger off the coin.

"Who moved the coin?!" Aliya asked sternly.

All of us denied removing the coin.

"I'm not playing this game anymore. I'm done" Hanis said.

I know i did not move the coin. Both of my friends denied moving the coin. Both of them were looking very tense. I know my friends too well and i know that they're not lying. So we decided to call the night off and went to bed.

But the disturbance did not stop there. As you all know there are 4 beds in every dorm. My bed was right at the corner and usually i would face the wall when i sleep. Which means my back is facing the rest of the room and my friends slept facing my back.

As i was about to sleep, i heard someone singing behind me in a very low voice.

"Knock, knock, knock on the door. Knock, knock, knock on the door"

"Hey it's not funny!" i shouted back without turning my head.

I really thought it was either Hanis or Aliya trying to scare me. At that point of time, i didn't realize that both my friends were sound asleep. It sang again. This time it gave me goosebumps!

"Knock, knock, knock on the door. Knock, knock, knock on the door. Knock, knock, i'm behind you, my child"

When i heard that, i screamed my lungs out! I knew this isn't coming from any of my friends. It did sounded like one of them though. That voice alone freaked me out! I didn't have the guts to turn around to see what was standing behind me. I think after it knew that i had realize what's going on, it left me alone.

After that incident, i never played that game anymore, no matter how much my friends pester me to. That is one incident i will never forget.
