Devon's P.O.V

Screams.

Cries.

Pleas.

Mangled bones.

It all carried on for hours.

Until she laid lifeless, and I sat there scared out of my damn mind.

For the first time I'm scared I'm going to lose someone I love more then myself.

"Dev? maybe we should think about what to do in case she doesn't-" hunter began.

"Hunter your my best friend but I swear if you finish that sentence I'll kill you" I growled.

I stared at her.

Watching.

Waiting.

She remained unmoved.

"Come on baby" I whispered brokenly.

"Come on"

After another hour she still didn't move.

She still didn't breath properly.

I whipped the tear that feel from my eyes and stood up.

Anger filled my body, how did I not protect her properly.

How did I not find a way to make this less harmful for her.

She knew only her human side.

I shifted and turned around to walk off into the woods.

I've lost her.

As I did the others started talking.

"Devon..." Seth trailed off.

I stopped and turned around to see phoebes body being lifted into the air.

Their was a neon blue light, glowing bright around her.

The light became so bright I could no longer see her anymore until It began to fade and a wolf now took the place of Phoebe.

She was lowered to the ground where she laid perfectly still.

I slowly went up to her and sniffed her, she still did not move and I could not hear her breath.

I licked her face, nibbled her ear but nothing worked.

I let out a whine and slammed myself down into a sitting position.

"Devon-"

"She almost made it, she was so strong wasn't she" I whispered with my head down.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see lucifer.

"She was very strong, but hardly any wolf can survive that many transformations"

"I promised her she would survive this lucifer! I promised that it's on my head"

"And she has" a voice interrupted.

"Yeah she looks it lifeless on the floor!" I growled

Next thing I knew I was knocked onto my back being pinned down by someone.

"You know, I find it so insulting you'd give up on my human so quickly" a voice growled back again making me still and look up to meet her eyes.

The white wolf stood up and she was breathtaking.
