Chapter 14 ~ Hugs and Kisses

A/N: Sorry for the long wait - I had my reasons...mehehehe... The next chapter won't be the last since I did some changes with the plot that I originally had in mind. So I'm adding 1 or maybe 2 more chapters. Toodles!

Leni gritted her teeth as she drank another shot of tequila.

"Ang sama niya...Ang sama sama niya!"

"Tama na 'yan Leni. Masyadong nang naparami 'yung naimon mo."

Grace clicked her tongue, taking the bottle out of Leni's grasp. Neil looked worriedly at them from the other table. He insisted in joining them because he didn't want anything bad to happen to them while they were drinking. Grace decided that he could come if he sat in another table.

"Nasaktan ko siya dahil sa taong yun tapos...gagaguhin niya lang pala ako!" she took the shot glass as she attempted to throw it but Grace grabbed her wrist before she could do any damage. "Nasaktan ko siya Grace! Nasaktan ko si Digong! At para saan? Para sa walang kwentang taong yun!"

Neil stood up but Grace shook her head. It's okay, she mouthed at him.

"Si Digong...si Digong...kamusta na kaya siya? Bakit ko ba siya iniwan? Digong!"

"Siguro dapat mo siyang kausapin." Grace calmly suggested.

"Tama! Tatawagan ko siya!" Immediately Leni gets her phone and calls Digong right away.

"Hindi yan ang-"

But before Grace could stop her she had already called Digong up.

"Digong! Digong! Miss na miss na kita..."

Grace slapped her hand on her forehead. This wasn't happening - clearly a drunk Leni was too much to handle for her.

"Sabi ng doctor pwede ka na daw madischarge sa ospital ngayong hapon."

"Ah...ganun ba..."

He looked longingly at the basket of fruits that Leni sent him for that day. It was Digong's only reminder that Leni was still thinking about him.

She never came back after the second visit.

"Akala ko babalik siya sakin...hindi pala. Umasa lang ako sa wala. Akala ko mababago ko pa ang isip niya - na sana ako nalang yung piliin niya. Na sana...na sana ako nalang."

Yasay patted his back.

"Kung para sayo siya...babalik din 'yun." he said reassuringly.

"Paano 'pag hindi pala siya para sa akin?" He looked his friend in the eye, simply thinking about the thought that she wasn't meant for him pained him.

"Kung hindi - dapat matuto kang tanggapin ang katotohanan. Masakit man pero kailangan mong tanggapin ang mga bagay na di mo na mababago. Hindi mo pwedeng kalabanin ang tadhana."

Digong wasn't satisfied with his answer. That can't happen. He can't give her up again. Not this time - not ever.

"Anong klaseng kaibigan ka ba? Di mo naman pinapagaan ang loob ko."

He frowned but Yasay only laughed at him.

"Para di ka na umasa sa kanya. Marami namang babae diyan ah.Sila pa nga yung naghahabol sayo."

"Ayoko sa kanila. Si Leni lang ang gusto ko."

"Ang tigas talaga ng ulo nito. Bahala ka diyan. Gawin mo kung anong gusto mo."

"Yan naman ang palagi kong ginagawa diba?"

Yasay only shook his head while a playful grin spread upon Digong's lips.
