"It's a bit early for Autumn dresses isn't it?" Robin said while she stepped down the stairs carefully, even though she only knew what autumn coloured clothing was because of a few girls from her American school. The heels Christina put her in were uncomfortable and made it hard to walk down the stairs, but Bill's mother had insisted because without them the dress would drag on the ground.

The skirt was littered with soft hues of gold, crimson and lilac, and was rimmed with a thick border that protected the aforementioned soft material from being damaged.

Robin had argued that the corset was too small, but Christina insisted that it wasn't indecent, and that it was an open back design. Her chest was amplified but tastefully so, as Christina had said.

Strips of frills fell delicately around her shoulders and the dress was topped of with a golden bow on the small of her back, just above the pouf of the Victorian style skirt.

"Every well educated woman of fashion knows that you wear your clothes two months in advance." Christina stated pleasantly.

"Why is that, though?" Robin turned to her, but she never got an answer though because a loud wolf-whistle interrupted their conversation.

Robin turned back around to face the origin of the sound, but instead met the soft crystal eyes of Bill. She blushed furiously when he had the audacity to wink at her.

She walked down the remaining steps and stood in front of him. "So? What do you think, princess?" He said teasingly. He always seemed to have another nickname up his sleeve that fitted the situation. With these shoes as well as her above-average height, she was taller than Bill.

Robin gave him a good once over and pretended to ponder, "Not too shabby, Braxton."

"Not too shabby?! I look great, thank you very much," There was no force in his words though, and Robin was once again reminded of how much Bill took after his father. Always making everyone laugh.

"Bill! Where'd ya' put my fancy hair gel?" Perry called as he strolled in with his tie in a knot around his neck. He paused when he saw Robin, "Wow, Robin." He smiled sadly, "You look just like Mom."

"Thanks, Perry." She said through the small tears that had gathered in her eyes. She looked him over, "Oh my God," She face palmed, "Your tie! You idiot!" She let out a strangled laugh.

Perry looked down and then back at her, a confused look on his face, "What's wrong with it?"

She sighed but fixed it for him anyway, "There. Now you're the prettiest girl in the room." Robin teased him.

"Suck that, Bill. I'm the pretty one in this friendship." He turned to Bill, who had joined them in their easy bickering.

Bill gave a loud laugh.

"Ready to go, children?" Bill's father called from the foyer. Bill looked at Robin expectantly and when she nodded, he offered Robin his arm, and walked with her to join his parents.

Bill stuck his tongue out at Perry as he walked past him with his sister on his arm. Robin sighed and muttered to herself, "This is going to be a long night."

"You really are beautiful tonight, Robin." Bill whispered in her ear, from where he sat squashed in beside her in the overly elegant-but still somehow-squashy car. A shiver went down spine, and a creeped out feeling settled in her gut. And it wasn't the fact that the Braxtons, who didn't even have a wifi connection, somehow knew how to drive cars.

She knew he only wanted to tease her again, or make her blush, but something about having Bill that close to her was uncomfortable. She couldn't explain it, so she changed the topic quickly, giving her mind something else to think about. "Have you been talking to Madaelyn recently, Perry?" She asked him, and felt slightly guilty that she hadn't asked about her brother's girlfriend before.

A splitting grin erupted on Perry's face, "Yeah, she was in France for the past two weeks with some relative of hers. She says she's having a great time."

"Will she be here?" Bill asked across her.

"Yupp," He popped the 'p' at the end, "But she said she won't be able to talk to me because she hasn't told her parents we were dating yet." Perry said glumly, his smile faltering.

"In fairness, you didn't tell our parents either," Robin interjected. Perry just scoffed at her though.

"-Because our mother has been so eager to find out about out social lives over the past nine years?" He was building himself up for a rant, and recognizing this, Bill interrupted him, "It's fine, Perry. You know I head Oliver Roscoe was going to be here..." He trailed off.

"This is going to be so great." Sarcasm dripped from Perry's words, and he slumped back into the seat in a bad mood.
