Chapter 9 - Pain
Who am I kidding?
Why should I be angry at Johnny in the first place? Kath's just my best friend, and I should only respect whatever her decision is. It's her life, I'm just a friend.
I'm done giving my effort. I'll only be there when she needs me.

The bell rang, and it's finally dismissal. I haven't seen Kath earlier, I made it clear to myself that I'm only going to talk to her if she needs something...
"Seth, wait up!" Someone shouted behind me. Before I looked back, I already knew who was calling me...
Katherine.
"Hey" I greeted.
"So, here's the thing. I was absent yesterday because I was sick"
"What?! Why?"
"And then if you're wondering why Johnny's absent, it's because he went to my house to stay there with me because my parents were busy"
What?! I used to be the one who takes care of Kath everytime she's sick. I should be the one who took care of her yesterday, not Johnny.
"What? You didn't call or text me that you were sick. I should've be the one who took care of you yesterday" i said
"Nah, it's okay. I won't bother you anymore. It's Johnny's job to take care of me since he's my boyfriend...woops"

"Wait, WHAT?!" I shouted
"Calm dooown!!! Johnny asked me during our date then there, i answered him" she giggled
Suddenly, A chill shot up my spine. I felt pain.
I felt broken.
"Seth? Are you okay?" Kath asked curiously
"Oh yeah. Yeah, i'm good. I'm happy for the both of you" i smiled trying to hide the pain i felt inside.
"Thanks best friend!" She chuckled.
"So, i gotta go now. I still have something to do. Bye kath"
"Wait, do you want to come with us to the mall?" She asked
"Who 'us'?" I asked
"Seth! Duh, Johnny!" She answered
"Oh yeah, oops i forgot. Nah, who am I? Third wheel?" I laughed.
"Come on. I'm serious" she said seriously
"No thanks. Maybe next time. Bye kath!"
"Okay then. Bye seth" she smiled
Kath and Johnny together huh?
Oh well.
Today's just been a huge sigh.
Sigh.
