Chapter 16

Seth's POV

"Well you came to the right person, what's the matter Kath?" Ms. Kate asked.

"Well, ummm" she sighed. "Johnny who's my ex-boyfriend and I met at the mall yesterday and I overreacted and told him what I really felt, he broke my heart but I still love him despite all the pain he had given to me" She said.

"Yes, and then?"

"He rejected me" then Kath started to cry, and I wanted to go inside the guidance office and comfort her but I can't.

"Aww, then why don't you share this with your best friend Seth?" Ms. Kate asked.

"Well, I don't know...I just don't feel like it-"

"But does he have any idea what's happening to your life?" Ms. Kate interrupted.

"Yes, he does...But not everything." Kath said.

Not everything???? What everything?? I didn't know Kath was hiding something from me, was it about the kiss? Or about something that might ruin our friendship.

"What "everything""? Ms. Kate asked.

I'm curious and scared at the same time, it's like I want to know what she's hiding from me, but I'm scared, scared because it might affect our friendship.

I continued listening but then....

"Hey man!" Someone pat me on the back.

"What?!" I shouted.

It was Mike Thompson the nerd.

"Nothing, I just wondered why you're hiding there." he replied.

"No shit, Get lost man!" I said angrily.

"Okay, chill." he replied then went away.

I continued to listen to Kath and Ms. Kate talk but

"Thanks for the advice Ms. Kate, I really appreciate it." Kath said.

"And Kath?"

"Yeah?"

"You need to share this to Seth. He's your best friend and I know that you know that you really need him" Ms. Kate said.

"Oh yeah, right. I'll tell him soon Ms. Kate. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it" She said then stood up.

Kath was on her way out so I immediately ran to my locker so that Kath will not know I was listening to what they're talking about.

I took all my books that I needed for the next two subjects, then Kath called me.

"Hey, I'm back." she said.

"Oh, hey!"

She opened her locker and took her books.

"So, what did Ms. Kate told you?" I asked.

"Nah, she just told me to bring her files to the principal's office." she replied.

"And since when did you start helping a teacher?" I asked.

She giggled.

"Aww psssh, people change Seth!" she said.

"Yes they do...they really do."

*the bell rang*

"Guess i'll see yah later, bye Seth!"

"Bye!" I replied.

Then she went to her next class which is Spanish and I went to my next class which is Chemistry.
