Chapter 21

KATHERINE'S POV

I woke up because the sweet warmth of the sunshine kissed me.

I felt so excited and I remembered, it's time to have a vacation with my best friend, Seth.

I stood up, stretched and wore my fluffy blue slippers. I went downstairs to check on mom if she's already awake, I was walking down the stairs when I heard mom crying.

I ran and found she was at the kitchen.

"Mom! Are you okay?!" I asked nervously.

She looked at me in the eye and felt pity.

"Mom, what happened?" I asked

"Oh sweetheart" i heard a crack on her voice trying not to cry so hard.

"What happened?!" I asked again

"Seth had an accident outside the mall last night when he was walking on the street going home. He was hit by a car and he was sent at the hospital.

Suddenly, my heart stopped.

"No!" I shouted trying not to cry. "Mom you're joking right?? Seth is not that person who'll just die because of an accident right??"

"It's true Kath, it's true" she replied and wiped her eyes.

"But...but he's fine now right??? We still have to go to HongKong together so he's still alive right??" I said smiling

My mom started to cry "he died sweetheart. Seth is dead"

Tears stroll down on my cheeks.

I don't know what to feel.

My best friend is dead.

Dead as in no longer alive. He doesn't exist anymore.

He left without me knowing.

I can't take this anymore.

Suddenly, Everything was a blur.
