Chapter 13 - Stuck in the Past

Chapter 13

Few days passed after Johnny and Kath's breakup, and of course Kath is still depressed because of what happened while Johnny has moved on. He's like hooking up everyday with Kacy Sherman (one of the plastics and a cheerleader)

what a total slut.

Anyway, Kath's absent since yesterday because she's not ready to face everyone especially Johnny.

It's already dismissal and I have no plans for today because Kath's not here so it's boring. Hmmm, what should I do?

*beep*

I took my phone and I recieved a message from Kath saying

"Hey Seth! Pls. go to my place after class. I need someone. Thanks!"

Looks like I already have plans.

With Kath! Yey?

I replied "okay Kath. I'll go there later, see you" then I pressed the send button.

But before going to Kath's I think I should buy her something first to cheer her up.

*ding dong*

I pressed the doorbell.

Kath opened the door and hugged me.

"You're finally here. Thanks Seth"

"You're always welcome Kath." then I hugged her back.

"Come in" she opened the door for me and I came in.

We went upstairs to her bedroom and wow she's really depressed. All of her pictures with Johnny was thrown in the trashcan, the teddy bear that Johnny gave her last month was ripped off with scissors, she's not the "typical Kath" anymore, she's the depressed one.

"Wow, what happened?" I asked

"Let's not start talking about that anymore" she looks annoyed

"Oh, okay then. I'm sorry Kath"

"Nah, it's okay" she said

"By the way, I brought you something" I said trying to change the topic.

"What?" She asked

"Well, before I went here to your house I passed by at the mall and bought you a band-aid" i said

"Band-aid? For what?" She asked curiously.

"Well, next time I don't want my best friend to get hurt. And because you're in pain right now I bought you a band-aid so the pain that you're feeling will soon heal" I said smiling.

"Awwww that's so sweet Seth!" she got teary eyes.

"Psssh of course it's my job to help you recover. I'm your best friend and I know I'm the best." I said with confidence

Then we laughed.

"And that's not all." I said

"There's another one?" She asked.

"I bought you a new t-shirt saying 'I never liked you anyway' "

She laughed.

"Well, that's funny! I'm gonna wear that all the time." She giggled.

I just laughed. It's good to see Kath laughing, and it's even better to know she's laughing because of me.

"Yeah you should! So, why am I here anyway?" I asked
