I stomped my foot and rattled off a list of vicious insults at Fury and Xavier. "That's it! I'm gunna kill him!"

When I turned to storm after Fury, Han caught my arms and held me back as I fought his iron grip. "Leave it!" he told me, tightening his fingers on my biceps. "Leave it, Lyrica. I understand your anger but turn it into something productive. A fight will get you nowhere."

Realizing he was right, I stopped struggling and he released me. He was so much like my Grandpére, I felt the need to obey. "Fine. I won't fight. But I'm getting my friends back."

"Think it through," he told me. "How? When? Where?"

I pursed my lips in thought before snarling in frustration, "I don't know! Fury's got eyes on everyone and everything, especially me. I can't leave unless the entire Avengers team goes with me."

I watched him as he stared at me. His look was telling me I'd hit a point but what had I said? "Oh!" I exclaimed, getting it. His face broke into a smile and he nodded. "Come with me," I told him, sprinting to where I knew the Avengers would be.

We raced through the Helicarrier and I burst into the training center. Sure enough, Captain Rogers stood by the hand-to-hand equipment, Clint was shooting at targets, and the others were sparring. Stark stood by to watch Thor and Agent Romanoff wrestle and I think Romanoff was winning. When I burst in with Han panting behind me, their heads turned and Clint's jaw dropped.

"Han?" he asked.

"Wow, long time no see," Han replied, walking towards my uncle.

"Very long time," Clint agreed, embracing Han in a brotherly hug.

I stood in utter shock watching the two of them. "Huh?"

Both men laughed at my confused expression before Han stepped forward to explain. "I became friends with your father and uncle while we were at the circus. When Jacques and your father decided to run off, I made the mistake of going with them, but it didn't last long. I was injured one night and did my time after I'd healed. When I found your father again, there was this little copper-top toddler tagging along after him."

I grinned. "Hm, no clue who that could be," I replied sarcastically.

"And a little troublemaker you were," Han added.

"Were?" Clint echoed skeptically.

"And still are," Han corrected.

"And always will be," I added, walking towards the two men. Han draped his arm over my shoulders and the three of us stood together like that until Romanoff joined us.

She looked Han over with calculating eyes before glancing at Clint. They had a silent conversation before she stood beside him and faced Han. Eventually, Cap joined us as well. He was introduced to Han and they exchanged pleasantries before I remembered why I'd come down here.

"I need Thor, Stark, and Banner," I said to no one in particular.

Romanoff nodded and left to corral the three men into the huddle. "What's going on, Hummingbird?" Tony asked.

I rolled my eyes and began my explanation of what had happened and what I was planning. "I'll assume Fury has no clue," Captain Rogers guessed.

I nodded. "So will you do it?"

Each of them nodded in turn, Clint reluctantly adding his nod last. "When are we heading out?" Banner asked.

"As soon as we can," I replied.

Immediately, they scattered to get ready and I stood for a moment with Han in the training room. I felt the buzz of a plan coming together and bounced on my toes in anticipation. "Follow me," I told him, leaving the training center and turning down several hallways.
