Go to dinner with me.

Those were the exact words Bellamy had said to me. Yesterday in the 'garden'.

He had said it so out of the blue! We were just joking about something and he blurted it out in a cool and collected manner.

I didnt even give him an answer...not because i didnt want to but because i feared the fact that i did want to.

I am sat by myself in a quiet room, some other people are in here chatting quietly while i try to read.

My attention is pulled away from my book as i hear a woman gasp and her friend says "yes, i hear Quarantine is more full than it has been in years. We better not have an epidemic on our hands".

I frown. I know there have been a lot of sicknesses but i didnt know it was so bad, my mum hasnt had time for me to talk to her about it.

I keep reading, then Wells joins me for a bit before he is whisked away by his dad, then i read some more. Other people come and go.

three men come into the room and i listen intently as one of them says in a loud booming voice "Councils vicious these days, unforgiving!" He exclaimes and now i look up.

His friend nods and the other man says "9 floatings this week!" He agrees and i cant help but widen my eyes.

The next day passes similarly while i contemplate Bellamy's offer/demand, i hear bits of conversations, people saying things like:

"The poor council, having to float all these criminals"

"That bloody council, never did give anyone a fair trial!"

"I hear Kane has been in charge!"

"That Kane man is ruthless!"

"People are going crazy, theres been attacks, assaults and a murder!"

I cant put my finger on any of it. Its probably a case of people making a big deal out of nothing but i still feel uneasy.

I am sat in the quiet lounge room again, reading, hoping for both quiet and an opportunity to overhear a few conversations.

The metal door slides open electrically, the button beeping as it is pressed and someone walks in.

A shadow casts down on me and i look up from my book to see Bellamy grinning. He looks smart! His jeans not ripped or too faded, wearing a black jacket. His hair is still quite scruffy in typical Bellamy fashion.

"Clarke Griffen, i am here to escort you to dinner...of sorts!" He says with a grin.

"W-what?" I exclaim, a smile creeping across my lips, my jaw almost healed now.

"C'mon!" He says and I dont hesitate, after all this time of thinking about it, now he's fed up with waiting I suppose. I stand then look down at myself.

"I look awful!"

"You look like a princess" he laughs with a wink.

I laugh and shake my head, giving him a playful shove as we walk out of the room. How things have changed.

"So, Blake, where exactly are you taking me? Or should i say kidnapping?"

"Hey, you came willingly" he says, putting his hands up in surrender. "I thought a crowded place probably wouldnt be your scene, you know, with all your crazy Ex's running around!" Bellamy says, looking at me and raising his eyes as if to say you know im right.

I nudge him in the side again, a little harder than before and laugh despite myself.

"Theres only one!" I say and Bellamy chuckles. "So where are we going? Should i even trust you?" This is a worry of mine...we may be on good terms, maybe better than good but i dont know if i can trust him. My head says i shouldnt but my heart knows I want to.

"You'll see! I promise you will have the best seat in the house!" He says with a wink and my stomach jumps a bit.

We head down a part of the Ark i dont usually go, and then we are staring at a wall.

"Hmm" i say, turning my head sideways as if examining the wall "Not much of a view is it!" I laugh, looking to Bellamy quizzically.

"You just need to look a little more..." he says, stepping foward. He places his hand on the wall and slides the slat over to reveal another room behind the gap. He looks at me an raises his eyebrows knowingly.

I stick my tongue out at him and walk through the gap. My breath is taken away.

The room I am in is small but the entire front wall is just a window and i can see Earth as clear as day, miles away in space.

Bellamy follows me in, allowing the slat to slide back into place.

There is nothing else in the room except two chairs and a blanket on the floor, with a hamper on top.

"A view fit for a princess?" Bellamy teases and i ignore him.

"What is this place?" I ask.

Bellamy shrugs, flopping down into one of the chairs.

I dont move.

"Its amazing!" I say quietly, not wanting to disturb the piece. "So beautiful" i whisper.

"Yeah...it is" Bellamy says before coughing and saying "sit down, i have prepared a feast, of sandwiches"

I laugh and sit down on the blanket as Bellamy opens the hamper, i gladly take the sandwich and soon enough Bellamy is sat on the floor aswell and we are just talking.

When it starts to get late, Bellamy insists on walking me home.

"Its nice to do this when you arent drunk and falling over" Bellamy laughs as we stop outside my door, and i cringe.

"Oh god dont remind me"

We both laugh for a moment then i say "Bellamy...why did you do all that?" I ask, my heart screaming inside my chest. "I dont want your pity!" I say.

Bellamy frowns "i didnt do that out of pity." He says, leaning over to kiss me on the forehead, "goodnight" he says into my hair before walking away.

Again, i want to call him back but am stuck to the spot. And he thinks I'm the mystery!
