Chapter 11

Ch. 11 - I Almost Die...Literally

I'm standing there, with someones hand over my mouth, which is crazy, watching Reed and two other guys lay on the ground, and everyone is staring at me. Reed actually went up against three other guys and almost won. He was about to, but the other guy apparently ran away or something. Then, Reed just fell, like he used up all of his strength. I don't know why I am surprised. I mean, he is pretty muscular. I thought he passed out, but he slowly opened his eyes, looked at me with a bloody nose and mouthed, "I tried, I'm sorry."

"What should we do with you?" Emily asked me. I wanted to say something, but I couldn't with this hand over my mouth. I looked over at my friends. Helpless. And it's all my fault. Then I looked over to Reed. He kept trying to get up, but he couldn't. He looked dizzy, maybe he got hit in the head too many times. I think about hitting the guy behind me or biting his hand or something, but I decide not to. I don't want anyone one else to get hurt.

"Let them go," Emily says, "But don't try to run anywhere, or help anyone unless you really want to get hurt." I see her look behind me real quick and smile such an evil smile. Like something I've only seen in movies. I want to see what it is, but I know as soon as I turn around something bad will happen.

She starts walking towards me, and I just stand there. Then, she pushes me so hard that I fall down. As I try to get back up,she kicks me in the stomach. It hurt so bad, and it knocked the breath out of me. I was gasping for air. I felt like I was about to pass out. Then, finally, I got one big breath, and then, she pushed me again. But this time, into the pool.

I swim up trying to get out, but Emily grabs me by my hair and pushes me under. I try to fight back, but that makes me out of breath in no time. My lungs are burning, screaming, and crying out for air. Then, just as everything goes black, I feel her let go, and I sink to the bottom.
