Ch. 1 - Again...
"Are you serious!?!" I asked my dad. This is like the third time in two years!
"Look, I'm sorry, but a better offer came along, Faith, I had to take it," my dad said.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, you say that every time! I just want to move and stay in the same place! Ugh! You don't understand!" I stormed off furiously.
"Wait Fa-!" I slammed my bedroom door before I could hear another word of this nonsense. My dad just told me we're moving...AGAIN!!!
We've moved a couple times before, but for the past couple of years, I haven't been able to stay at one school for the whole school year. And now we're moving again! It's all because of my dad's stupid job. It's hard on everyone.
I'm originally from Arkansas, but I've lived in Florida, New York, Virginia, Kentucky, and now...wait. I have no idea! Is it a whole different state, or just a different city?
Great! Just great! Now I have to go back down there and talk about it. Well I better get it over with then...
As I'm walking downstairs, I see that my parents are waiting for me. I have a bad feeling about coming down here now. There's probably going to be a whole lecture about all of this.
"Sweety," my mom said, "Go sit with your brothers and sister." My brothers are twins, they're five. My sister is nine, and I'm fifteen.
So, after talking about whatever it wass, all I got out of it is where we're moving to. At first, I was mad, but then I remembered my social studies essay on it and thought it might not be that bad.
My next week of school was full of sadness. I had to say goodbye to all of my friends. I barely even got to know them. I just moved to Kentucky last semester of 9th grade. And now it is only the fourth week of 10th grade grade. Kind of a weird time to move, but whatever.
I spent my last day here packing. Then we put all of our things in a moving van. I took one last look at our house. It was my favorite one besides the one in Arkansas. Even though I was only six when we moved the first time, I still remember my house, neighbors, friends, and school. I wish I could go back, but I bet no one even remembers me.
We all got in the car and started on our way to our new home...again. Man, I hope I like it in San Antonio, Texas.
