Ch. 9 - The Rest of my Week
While I was walking to the bus stop, I saw Reed. I couldn't wait to talk to him. Then, I realized that today, Grace is with me. So, we just smiled at each other, and stood there awkwardly. It was like that all week. We couldn't hang out because I had to watch Grace.
We only got to talk on the bus. And of course, Emily is still bothering me, but not as much. I'm trying to learn to ignore it. I finally met some girls Wednesday at lunch. I think they just felt sorry for me because I was all alone, but at least I have friends now. Their names are Jenna, Kaitlyn, and Ashley, They even helped me get invited to a party with them. It's on Saturday.
I had my first test at this school and got an A, so I think I'm doing pretty well. My dad is really liking his new work and so is my mom, so that's good. I guess everything is going smoothly so far, you know, for everyone except me.
I think the only reason I don't hate it here is because of my new friends, and of course, Reed. He just makes everything seem better, just by smiling at me.
Other than that, my week hasn't been anything special. I can't wait until the party tomorrow. It will be so much fun. But I think the most important thing about my first week at this school, is that it's over!
