First Date

"So.." I said timidly while Cedric and I made our way through the streets of Hogsmede. I noticed Cedric take a deep breath.

"What would you like to do?" He questioned.

"Umm.... do you want to go to Zonkos?" I questioned.

"Sure whatever you want." He said giving me a kind smile we walked into Zonkos joke shop and the first people we saw were the twins. Once they noticed us they came over, Fred glaring all the way.

"Hi guys." i greeted them.

"Hi Devona." Said George.

"HI Devona, Digory." Said Fred giving Cedric the evil eye.

"Hey Cedric would you do me a favor and find me some exploding snap?" I asked him. He nodded and headed in the direction of where the exploding snap was located.

"Ok Fred what is your problem?" I asked.

"Nothing." He shot back.

"Well there is obviously a problem. What is it? Are you still angry he beat us in Quiditch?" I asked angrily.

"NO, just go back to your little date and leave me alone." Said Fred storming out of the shop.

"Well what is his problem." I muttered under my breath.

"A lot of things actually my dear friend." Replied George before going after Fred as Cedric returned with the Exploding snap.

"What was that?" He questioned.

"I have no clue." I answered truthfully.

"Well how about we go to the Three Broomsticks?" Said Cedric as I payed for the exploding snap.

"Sounds great." I said as we walked out onto the streets of Hogsmede. We quickly arrived at Three Broomsticks and went to sit down.

"So what do you want?" I asked standing up to go order.

"No, I'm ordering and paying this is a date." Stated Cedric making me chuckle.

"Why can't I pay for my own?" I questioned him.

"Because I want to." He said making me sit down and going over to the counter and ordering two butterbeaers. He quickly payed for them and came back over giving me my  drink.

"Thank you." I said as he sat down across from me.

"No problem." He said giving me a smile.

"Want to play 20 questions?" I asked unsure of what to talk about.

"Sure, can I start?" He questioned as I nodded.

"Ok how do you know Krum?" He asked.

"Well I guess we were kind of neighbors?" I responded unsure of how to word my response.

"Ok." he said sensing I was a little confused on the answer.

"Do you have any siblings?" I asked.

"No but I wish I did." He responded "Do you have any siblings?"

"No I do not have any siblings. Only Harry and Victor are pretty close to brothers for me." I replied. and the questions went on like that for about another hour or two. Then we decided we should go walk to the shrieking shack. We stood there looking at it.

"Do you find this place scary?" Asked Cedric while he examined the shack.

"No." I replied honestly.

"Not even a little bit?" He asked now looking at me.

"No, why do you ask?" I asked.

"Just wanted to know." He replied looking back at the shack and I believe I saw just a little bit of pink in his cheeks.

"You know I actually am a bit cold." I said quietly.

"Really?" Asked Cedric as his eyes lit up "Here you can have my coat."

"Thank you." I said as I rapped his coat around me. We then decided it was time to go back to the castle. So we began our longtreck through the woods to get back to the main part of Hogsmede.

"Here have your coat back." I said handing it to him.

"I thought you were cold." Cedric chuckled.

"No I was fine you just seemed to want to do something for me." I said putting the jacket over Cedric's shoulder.

"Well then." He said laughing.

"Come on we need to hurry it's getting late." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him in the direction of the castle. We walked as fast as we could into the courtyard of the castle.

"Thank you for the fun day." I said giving Cedric a hug as we were about to part ways.

"No thank you for agreeing to go with me." He said before letting go.

"Good night." i said before I turned to head to the Gryffindor common room.

"Good night Devona." He replied before heading in the direction of the Hufflepuff common room.
