Word travels fast. Before I knew it, teenage girls crowded around the shop, their sticky, sweaty hands banging on the newly shined windows.
Thankfully, Mel managed to lock the doors before anybody could get in. However, we were now stuck in another dilemma.
We had no way of exiting the shop.
"Is there a back exit?" Liam asked, his hand running through his hair.
Mel shook her head. "There is, but girls are blocking it as well. We're stuck."
"Are you kidding me?!" Zayn slammed his fist onto the counter in frustration.
"Whoa!" I said, staring at the boy in front of me. "Just calm down! We're going to get out."
I stared out the window. "... Eventually..."
"We have an interview in awhile. With this crowd, it's gonna take awhile to get out." Paul said, whipping out his phone. "I need to call out more guards to help us out."
"Dammit!" He swore after awhile. "They're not answering. When I see them, I swear..." he trailed off, mumbling incoherent profanities.
"Sooooo...." Louis said, "we're stuck, basically?!" He looked around, a smirk etched on his face. "Not like I mind, really."
Liam shot him a knowing glance. "We're going to make that meeting somehow, you know."
His smirk faded. "Aw..."
I smirked at his childish face. "Is there any other exit, Mel?" I asked, looking around.
She shook her head. "Unfortunately, no. We're going to have to force our way out."
Niall stared at her with wide eyes. "Umm... Is that safe?" He bit his lip nervously, glancing at the screaming girls outside.
Liam put a hand on his shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, Ni! We've been through this before."
"Well, brace yourselves," Paul said grimly. "because we're all going to rush out. The van is parked in front, so we just need to charge out. I'll help you guys as much as I can."
"Ready?" He looked at us, one hand gripping the door handle, the other on the lock. We nodded hesitantly, and he forced the door open.
I ran after the boys, wincing as the fans grabbed at my shirt, and scratched my arm with their nails. It was nearly impossible to move. Every second, everyone seemed to be getting further away from me. More girls started shoving me, and started to move towards the van.
Then, I completely lost sight of the boys in the sea of fangirls.
All I could hear was screaming. And I felt the mass of bodies pressed against mine, jostling me one way, only to be shoved back in another.
I started to panic.
My heartbeat sped up, and I froze in fear.
Someone, help me...
Niall's P.O.V
We threw ourselves in the van, and slammed the door shut. We somehow managed to make it through the crowd of fangirls, who were as vicious as ever.
"Whew, we made it!" Harry sighed, looking down sadly at his torn t-shirt. "Unfortunately, I can't say the same for my shirt."
I laughed, relaxing a little.
I looked around at the people in the car. Harry, Liam, Louis, Zayn, Paul, Mel...
"Hey, where's Georgia?"
Shit.
We left her.
Outside.
With the fans.
"You don't think...?" Louis said.
"She's still out there!" Harry cried, reaching for the car door, only to be smacked by Paul.
"Are you insane?! If you go out there, you'll be mobbed!" He snapped.
"Well, we can't just leave her out there!" Harry protested. "She's gonna be trampled!"
The two began to bicker, and soon enough, everyone was yelling at each other.
"I swear, if you leave that girl out there-" Mel yelled, the rest of her sentence drowned out by the voices of the others.
At this rate, Georgia's a goner.
I looked at Paul, then at the door. Then at Paul. Back to the door.
I gulped down the fear creeping up on me, and slipped outside.
I was greeted with screams and yells of "Niall!". Ignoring them, I gently pushed my way towards the shop, looking around for Georgia.
Then I spotted a girl sitting on the ground, her head in her hands.
"Georgia!" I cried, running towards her. "Are you all right?" I asked, reaching out towards her.
She flinched and shoved my hand away from her.
"Georgia. It's me..." I lifted her head and turned it towards me.
"N-niall?" She whispered, looking at me with wide eyes. "What are you doing out here?"
"I- uh..." I suddenly became aware of my surroundings. Girls were pressing against me, grabbing my shirt and yanking me in different directions.
I started having a panic attack.
"Niall!" Georgia grabbed my arm and rushed me in the general direction of the car.
I closed my eyes, trying to calm myself down. Suddenly, I was shoved into the van, the door slamming behind me.
"Go!" A voice shouted.
All the noise, the commotion, and the tight space started to make me feel dizzy. Then, I blacked out.
