I'm scared to close my eyes
If I fall asleep you'll be gone
And I'll wake up alone
Unable to move on
You don't love me
I know it's all lies
Can this relationship survive
If I close my eyes
This isn't what love is
But I make you smile
And even though I want to
We can't walk down the aisle
In darkness I will cry
Searching for my light
I don't want to sleep
To lose you in the night
Together we are happy
But this love won't suffice
And over time I believe
I'll have to pay the price
This won't last forever
But right now we'll stand
Sharing the world together
As I hold your hand
I know it's not the same for you
Yet you're all that I need
I've made my love selfish
I need you out of greed
In my eyes we're meant to be
But to you I'm just a passing fancy
Even if our love isn't true
I'll try to dispel the blue in you.
