You ask me if I had a good day
I could say yes in ten different languages
But you'd only need to speak one
To tell me that I'm lying
But you say nothing
You smile and tell me about your life
How happy you are and how normal you are
And I can't relate
You ask what I've done today
I cried, contemplated dying, lay in bed
But I tell you "oh, nothing much"
Still you smile and nod
It seems like you can't see my lies
You don't need to speak any language
To be able to open your eyes.
