I Don't Need You

Your smile and quirky fashion

Your nerdy quirks full of passion

The insecurities in you

I don't believe that's really you

I believe that somewhere you lied

And the real you is inside

But I bet you'll never show me

For I know you truly hate me

You find fault in all that I do

And tear me from one into two

You hurt me and so I hurt you

Seems like the best option of few

I am nothing that you call me

You do not know or try to see

Face value is all you care for

What's inside is what you ignore

I feel like other humans feel

Yet you paint me cold and unreal

Emotions are deadly struggles

Filled with unsolvable riddles

But you don't even try to see

You don't care enough about me

You're quick to quit and now's the time

I'll leave your life so please leave mine

The me of old

The me of new

Neither of us

Need you.
