Happy birthday, Mike!

Happy birthday, Michael! There are few people that I consider my "role models," but you are one of them. I'm only 18 and don't know what the heck I'm doing with my life, but I do know one thing: "when I grow up" and figure this whole adulthood thing out (y'know, if that ever actually happens), I hope to have your determination and passion. I hope that, someday, I'm able to inspire people with my writing like you've done with music, from your early Monkee years until now, half a freaking century later. Growing up was pretty rough for me, especially the high school years, but when I found out about The Monkees the January of my Senior year, you were the one who caught my attention most, and now I know why. Though you have no way of knowing it, The Monkees really helped me get through the year, especially you and Micky—for different reasons :) Anyway, this is getting long (and not to mention sappy as hell), so I'll stop here. Happy birthday, Michael, and I hope you have a fabulous day. Thank you <3 xx
