He put me down and started walking. Not knowing what to do, I followed him. We walked through hallway after hallway.
All having the same exact look. White painted walls and no doors.
After a nice minute we reached a hallway with a door. It was a shimmery black which was confusing to me.
It read "Welcoming room."
He looked back at me. "Keep everything you see in here to your self. Unless with someone of the agency never speak of it." I was finally starting to get used to his voice.
Nodding in response he opened the door and we walked in.
Clothes, body, devices, powers, experimentations, etc. These are all names different doors had on them.
The first door we went into said body. I was shock as to why body had a special door. Once we walked in there was a huge mirror and I stopped in my tracks when I got a glimpse of myself.
Black short hair, mocha brown skin, at least 5'0. Almond brown eyes. I looked nothing like my ID photo.
"Come on already" I heard Jordan say to me from far away. I ran to him and followed him into a small room.
There was something in the middle of the room. It looked like a type of tanning bed but transformed into a bath. The liquid inside was a deep midnight blue and it was bubbling.
A few feet away from it was a computer that was connected by thick wires.
Jordan went up to the computer and started typing and touching the screen of the computer.
"Get in" he said while typing not looking up from the computer.
A metal table raised out the bath and I nervously laid on it starring at the ceiling. It was black and the lights made it seem grey which for some reason calmed me.
A mask was placed over my mouth and multiple wires were attached to my body. I was slowly lowered into the bubbling liquid. My eyes shut tight as I felt it take in my body. By instinct my body tensed afraid of what was going to happen.
"Breath. Relax. Be calm." A voice was saying to me. It was a boys voice. Sweet, and calming. I focused on it and little by little my body was relaxing.
I floated for what felt to be a few minutes listening to the voice.
"Open your eyes." He whispered. I opened them slowly still in the liquid. They didnt burn or bother me at all. It felt as if the liquid wasn't even there. But... I... it was dark.
All of a sudden it was like I was back in that room. I panicked thinking I had to get out. I jerked and fought against the wires to get free... to get out.
The voice that was keeping me calm had disappeared and almost as soon as it was gone hands were snatching me out the water. My mask had fallen off and on the way up the liquid got in my mouth. Once I reached the top I spat it out gasping for air and coughing unable to see.
My face was held against something soft and my body in a tight embrace. "You're ok. Im here. You're ok." The voice from the bath. I looked up to see who it was and to my shock it was just Jordan.
"I.... I'm fine. Thank you" I spoke softly and he jumped back clearing his throat. He left the room for a second and came back with a towel helping me out and wrapping it around me.
I wanted to ask "why" after him being so mean to me since he woke me up he was trying to save me. But I didnt. I was to scared.
On the way out I noticed something different, but only a glimpse, in the mirror. I stopped in my tracks and turned to look at it.
I slowly walked up to the mirror touching it to make sure what I saw was real.
I looked completely different. My hair was white as snow and the tips were purple and it was down my back. My eyes were two different colors. One was purple just like my tips with golden flacks and the other was blue like the liquid in the bath and white flacks. I touched my face then the mirror and back to my face in disbelief. I was also slightly taller. A heavy sigh filled the room. "You will get used to the new look" followed by it.
