The Welcoming

Chap. 7

I came out the closet in a sleeping dress and sat on the bed. Kat was on something that looked like a phone while he tail was swinging softly through the air. All I could think was how the hell could someone be half a pet.

I guess I was starring to long cause she let out a loud "meow" to snap me back into reality.

"You look even more transed then I do. I see why people hate it." She sat up putting down the device and started swinging her legs off the end of her bed.

"This is a the mutation. I always loved cats!" She excitedly hugged herself. "Im a big loveable kitty! Also the first mutation to go right."

"Mutation?" I was so confused. I guess my power is being lost all the time.

She laughed like my question was a joke. "You seriously dont know anything do you? Its ok ill be your teacher!" She jumped up and leaped on my bed.

"Gimme your ID!" As she said it I was slowly moving away a little. I reached over and grabbed my wallet handing it to her.

"You are ashley whyller." She handed it back and I gave her the no duh face. She giggled.

"You are property of S.A.E.A= Secret Assassination Experimentation Association. Your obviously a class A you guys only get your looks changed. Its the easiest and shortest class. By tomorrow or maybe the day after you will be experimented on a little more if your entro didnt do it all today. Then your will chose your weapons. Everyone gets two..."

"Wait! What do you mean im property!?!" I know I heard Jordan say it earlier but I was only worried about escape. But now I wanna know.

"As in from now on your there property. We all are. We do as they say and in return we get what ever we want!" She squealed like a kid in a candy store.

"What type of stuff?"

She looked at me like I was stupid with a slight smile on her face"Well if you get these experimentations done to make you stronger and weapons what do you think?"

I was hoping she wasn't going to say that.

"And what if you dont want to? What if you want to le..."

Before i could finish my sentence she covered my mouth. "DONT YOU DARE SAY THAT AROUND ME!" Her whole demeanor changed she was scary and seemed furious. Her eyes were glaring holes in mine. I just nodded scared out my mind, eyes wide, and clinching my dress praying she wasn't going to kill me.

She slowly backed up and and looked down hugging herself.

"Im sorry... when I first got here I came with another girl. I was told she was my sister and we did everything together. But when I heard what they were gonna make me do... I begged to leave...as a lesson..." Her voice broke and she started sobbing.

I didn't know what to do. I hugged her rocking her back and forth.

She backed away from me getting off the bed wiping her face. "Thats enough lessons for now. The suns coming up we should get some rest."
She laid in her bed and face the wall. Slowly all her cat features disappeared. She looked like a normal girl.

I turned off my light and laid down. I still had so many questions. What happened to your sister? why a cat? tell me more about this place! I fell asleep thinking about everything wondering about everything and left with so many questions. I guess this is my new life. I guess this is the new me.
