Before I knew it "class" was over and lime and I were walking around.
"How did I do?" She looked at me in the eyes. "Be honest now" you could see the adrenaline from earlier practically seeping out her pores.
"You did....amazing I don't think ill ever be that good." That was the truth. Because I didn't want to be that good. I didn't want to be apart of this. But apparently I didn't have a choice.
"It's ok suga! I'll teach you of course!" She squealed. I didn't understand how she could be so happy about this but I didn't want to ruin it so I hugged her back laughing.
"Dia..." someone said then flipped me around so I would face him. He was wearing a hoody. He wasnt likebthe rest of us... he seemed nornal....untouched almost like mother...He had brown skin, almond brown eyes, curly brown and light brown hair. He reminded me of me before they..."welcomed" me. But still I couldnt remeber him so with a confused face I responded.
"I'm sorry my name's Ashley..." lime pulled me away after I said that looking at him weirdly. "Go away" she spat the words at him as we walked away.
He stood there starring at me. I know I should have been freaked out but I wasn't. "Who is that?" I asked lime looking at her. "Maybe some newbie never saw him around here before to be honest" she shrugged it off. "I wouldn't stress over it." She said as we walked out of his sight.
I kept looking back in hopes to at least get one last glimpse of him but no luck.
"Time to go" I heard Jordan's voice from behind me.
"NOOOO I BARLEY GOT TIME WITH HERRRRRE" lime whined to Jordan. I giggled turning around and looking at them both. I looked at lime hugged her and told her I'll see her later and Jordan and I walked away.
A few minutes passed. I didn't exactly know where we were going but then again I never do.
I guess to break the awkward silence he spoke.
"So how was it?"
"It was ok I guess. I think it's going to take me a few times to get used to it." I shrugged looking down hugging myself as we continued. "Where are we going?"
"I know this is all a lot for you so I'm showing you a way to get a break around here. Just don't abuse it." He looked straight ahead while talking. I looked at him and his stuff demeanor and giggled. He always acted so mean but he had his moments.
"Don't look to much into it." He rolled his eyes trying not to smile. We came to a huge hedge. It was thick and looked dense. But you could hear water on the opposite side. Couldn't see it though.
He began to walk along the hedge feeling it then stopped. "Here" he pulled out a piece of the hedge making a small entrance. It was like a secret door.
"Crawl through" he said nodding me towards it. I giggled and said ok crawling in and to the other side. What I saw made me stop in my tracks. It was so beautiful.
It was a beach. A white sandy beach with crystal clear waters and gorgeous seashells scattered all over.
"This is..." I was stuck. I had no words. I couldn't describe what I saw.
"Breath taking..." he spoke from behind me but as I looked back to look at him he looked away from me pretending as if he was starring at the water that whole time.
I nodded in agreement but for a moment I caught myself starring at him. Something in me really thought for a second he was starring at me until I realized that was the dumbest thought I had since I got here.
