Chapter 6

Demi's POV

I set my alarm this morning for 7:30 so I could get Ella up and ready and be there by 9.

I heard the annoying sound in my ear as I rolled over and groaned.

I sat up and rubber my eyes "it's too damn early for this."

I got out of bed and walked downstairs to find Ella already sitting on the couch already dressed.

I smiled to myself, "you ready baby girl?"

She turned around, "yes! Hurry up! Let's go!"

I laughed at her eagerness, "okay! Let me get dressed and put my makeup on!"

Ella's POV

She laughed then said, "okay! Let me get dressed and put my makeup on!"

I was really excited! I got up at 6:00 this morning and got ready! I had on my favorite blue dress that flows at the top but is tight at the bottom with some beads.

I straightened my hair and did simple eyeliner.

I couldn't wait until Demi got up! The adoption center was about 45 minutes away so I was probably going to sleep the way there.

I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and I shot up. Demi came down in just jeans and a T-shirt with her smokey eye and blue hair in beach waves.

"Let's go!" She said picking up the car keys.

"Ella. Ella get up. We're here." I felt a hand shaking me.

I went to jump out of the car only to realize that I still had my seat belt on.

"Ouch." I said rubbing my chest as Demi just laughed.

I unbuckled my seatbelt and carefully hopped out of the car.

The adoption center looked a lot different from the last time I saw it.

It actually looked kind of scary. There were vines growing up the sides and the paint that used to be yellow is now pasty and pale like someone tried to paint white over it. Almost all the windows had cracks up them and the name had a few letters missing. It was now 'Sun_y Sh_a_de Ado_tion C_nter'

I slowly walked in behind Demi as we rang the buzzer and waited for someone to answer.

A nice looking lady answered the door, "hello welcome to Sunny Shades! How may I help you today?" She answered very cheery.

"Uhmm... Do you guys have Michael and Kenzie Jato still?" Demi questioned.

The lady gestured for us to come in. She pointed to the back corner.

I ran back there and hugged Michael, he looked exactly like he used to, only taller.

"Oh my god! I've missed you so much!" I yelled hugging him.

He pushed away from me and said the words that shattered my heart, "who the hell are you?"

I hope you guys like that and I hope it was longer! I'm on my phone so idk how long it is. I'm gonna try to put the link to the picture of Ella's outfit but I'm not sure if I can do it right. Does anyone know how to add a picture on a phone? If so message me!

Okay so I've been sitting here for the past 30 minutes trying to get the link on here. It's not happening lol.

I can try to make it in the next chapter since she'll still be in that outfit I guess. It's just really cute soo... Yeah.
