~Evan~

Did I mention I hated parties?

Apparently I haven't told the three about that tiny detail about me. To be honest I'd rather be locked up inside the dorm and look at the window feeling bad about myself

But since Yuki and Eve were insistent about me and Anthony joining the New Years Party the school was throwing and my train ride back home was not until the day after tomorrow

I ended up joining them(not that I had a choice)

Anyway as we were walking up to the Fields for the party I checked the time

9:51 pm

"Guys I forgot I had to do something before I'll meet you guys at the peak of the hill" I didn't wait for their response and searched for the present I had in my pocket

Good It was still there, I hope he appreciates it after all he's done to me

I quickly jolted to little clearing behind the Field. As I ran through the woods I noticed a silhouette following me

I stop running and cast a protection rune around me "Barrier!" As I finished that I focused on my surroundings and cast another "Radar!"

I was right someone was in the bush southwest of me. I dropped Barrier and quickly cast an offensive spell "Fireball" I hurled it towards the bush but before it can come into contact it got sliced into two

I would have run if it weren't for the all to familiar chuckling I heard from the bush "Is that really how you would greet your future Mr.Rimonds, Evan?" Lucas stood up holding his sword over his shoulder with a cheeky smirk plastered on his face

A warmth crept up my cheeks at his little assertion but quickly realized something "W-what, I mean why are you here?" He sheepishly scratched the back of his head and walked closer to me "I saw you running and well you know, wanted to know if you were okay" The last part he muttered a bit softer while trying to hide his pink stained cheeks

"W-Well I don't really need help right now L-Lucas" I averted my eyes from his

"Well since I'm here might as well accompany you Evan" He sheathed his sword while closing the already non-existent gap between us until his lips were only inches away from mine, I had a feeling he would have kissed me if it hadn't for Liam loudly coughing right behind us

I stepped backwards in haste, a red pigment apparent on my face "Erm, sorry L-Liam 'bout that" my eyes glued to the clovers nearby

Yes, pretty innocent little white clovers

I felt a hand lift my chin up, to see Liam's brown understanding eyes "No worries" He grinned at me which made the tightness that settled in my chest fade away

In the corner of my eyes as I was focusing on Liam I saw Lucas scoff so I back away yet again, this time I was distancing myself from both boys which seem to be in a glaring contest

I coughed to break the awkward silence that was prolonging what I truly came for "Liam I thought I'd see you here, I actually came by to give you a little seasons greetings" I reached for my pocket and smiled as I felt it on my fingers

Liam stared at me in confusion "Seasons greetings?" I quickly held out the small black box while smiling at him. He was shocked if his jaw dropping was anything to go by "Evan, well I kinda feel a bit selfish for not giving you anything in return"

"Oh don't worry about Liam this is just to thank you for helping me out during my rough times that place really cleared my mind even if it was only a few moments" I forced the black box onto his hands and waited for him to open it and see his reaction
