Ch.14 Screaming Silence

As I walk towards my classroom a loud authoritative voice boomed through the halls

"All students must come to the Auditorium for an urgent meeting. Anyone caught cutting will be getting detention"

As the announcement halted my colleagues started sighing in frustration while some were glad because that means no class for gods know until when

I turn around and make my way towards the Auditorium

Why did I do that?

Why would he not be mad?

Negative thoughts invade my peace of mind, constantly telling me that Liam was just screwing with me that he's only doing that because of some kind of silly bet

The kind of bet Asher did to make fun of me

To humiliate me

Can't I just be a normal per-

I bump into someone my bum landing on the floor while the guy standing up didn't move a muscle

I look into the person's eyes and immediately frowned

Not you too...

"H-Hi Lucas..." I say barely audible

Lucas grunts in response and helps me up with his out stretched hand

I tentatively grab his hand and am once again hoisted up onto my feet which made me remember a memory that sent me blushing "Thanks for getting me to t-the infirmary..." I feel my cheeks already getting warm; I fiddle with my fingers to avoid looking into his dreamy cocoa eyes

He opens his mouth to say something but nothing comes out so he quickly shuts it again

Instead he grabs my hand and leads me into one of the empty classrooms quickly locking the door as we both entered the room

"Y-You're scaring me L-Lucas..." I take a few steps back fearing what might happen

Lucas' eyes suddenly light up and quickly assure me "Oh sorry! That must have been so suspicious" he scratches the back of his head "I just wanted to tell you something" His eyes seemed to be filled with an emotion I can't quite pinpoint

Lucas steps forward and grabs me by the shoulders, he opens his mouth again but nothing seems to be coming out

I looked at him confused "Lucas? Weren't you going to t-tell me something?" I nudged his sides, him quickly snapping out of his trance

"Actually never mind... It can wait" Lucas unlocks the door behind us and opens the door "We're going to be late if we don't go now Evan!"

I crossed my arms "Most of it was your fault!" He gives me a that endearing smirk that I have come to love

Shit! No!

Evan get a grip!

He doesn't like you

He's straight as a pole

He's attractive you are not

Stop believing lies...

"Earth to Evan?" His hand waving in front of my face "We really are going to be late if you don't stop day dreaming"

I nod my head and start walking beside him

"Evan are you alright?" His face uncomfortably near my face

"W-Why wouldn't I be?" I turn my head away from his perfect face
