)Hey everyone! I'm back, yup not dead. Sorry for not updating for so long, anxiety, depression and writer's block are all bitches that can go screw themselves. But they decided to screw around with me lately... Oh well, I'll try to update more now. New years resolution: update at least once every two weeks. Hope I can stick to it...)
(Also I noticed some punctuation mistakes in earlier chapters, I won't be changing them because I'm just going to end up confusing myself but I'll pay more attention to it from now on... if I mess up something just tell me, I'd rather it be correct than not.)
(And I changed James' mum's nationality from Russian to Hungarian, because I actually know Hungarian but not Russian. Why is that important? You'll see later.)

Evangeline! Evangeline, I made a new friend!" James cheered as he let himself into Evangeline's apartment. "Evangeline?" James asked when he didn't see her in the living room. "In the kitchen!" Evangeline called and James nodded, forgetting that Evangeline couldn't see him. The front door opened. "Hey, Angie. I'm back," greeted Evangeline's boyfriend, TJ. James glared at him as he passed through the living room to get to the kitchen. "Why is he here?" James heard TJ ask. "Babe, you know he has classes with me every Thursday," Evangeline answered. James heard TJ sigh then say: "Fine." James never liked TJ. First of, James didn't understand why he was even called TJ. His full name was Taylor Jennings, James saw his ID once. So why not just call him Taylor? James figured he was trying to be cool or something. Secondly, why was Evangeline with this idiot? TJ was very ignorant and rude while Evangeline was a kind and intelligent girl. James had no theories for this one. Thirdly, James hated that TJ always called him Jimmy or Jim. The only person who got to call him those names was Steve, James' older brother. TJ was not Steve so he didn't have that privilege. But that didn't seem to bother him, even if James told him a 1,000 times, TJ would just continue to call him Jim or Jimmy. Evangeline and TJ walked back into the living room. "Alright, James. As we agreed last lesson, we're going to practice ordering. I hope the pizza place on the corner is OK," Evangeline explained. "The one with the Greek owner?" James asked. "Bingo, Jimmy," TJ confirmed. "For the last time, it's James." James glared at TJ.

They walked down to the pizza place. James didn't understand why the owner, Anna something (James forgot her complex last name), would run an Italian restaurant when she was Greek. They walked in and sat down at a table. "TJ, what would you like?" James asked, after all he'd have to order. "Uh, get me a diet coke, 'kay?" TJ asked. James nodded then walked off with Evangeline. "Hi, uh can I get a... gluten free uh Hawaiian pizza with a... small ice tea and... a medium...?" James turned to look at Evangeline. Evangeline nodded. "... uh yeah, medium diet coke." James sighed when he was finally done ordering. "It'll be done in 30 minutes, until then here are your drinks," The cashier girl said and handed them their drinks. "Thanks." James took the drinks. "Look up," Evangeline whispered. James forced himself to look up from his shoes. "That'll be $25.50," The girl said with a small smile. James dug around in his pockets and payed, last class they agreed that James will pay. Evangeline wanted to pay but James insisted, after all he barely even used his allowance and Evangeline had rent to pay, college tuition and other adult stuff to pay. "Thanks," James murmured then went back to sit down. "How'd it go, Jimmy James?" TJ asked, once Evangeline and James returned. "For God's sake, it's James!" James exclaimed, annoyed at TJ for not knowing his name. "OK, chill." TJ rolled his eyes. "TJ, please call him James. We talked about this." Evangeline gave him a look. James watched the two while drinking his ice tea. James wondered why he even asked for ice tea, he didn't exactly like ice tea.

"So, James... how is school?" TJ asked, trying to be polite. "I graduated two years ago," James answered. "Oh, yeah right..." TJ trailed off. James went back to eating his slice of pizza, it tasted like cardboard. James wondered if it was because of the owner's nationality or the generally bad quality of the neighbourhood. James sighed, he wished Senan was here. He would probably make some jokes about something like last time. Now, James was stuck with TJ. "Mmm, James you're brothers in the army, right?" TJ asked, Evangeline shot him a look. James tensed up slightly, "He's a Navy SEAL, yes," James answered. "Oh, he's a SEAL I see... where is he right now?" TJ inquired, and Evangeline nudged him. James didn't look up from his slice of pizza, "Afghanistan." TJ nodded, and took a sip of his drink. "I heard a story not so long ago from a friend who's husband is a marine stationed somewhere in Afghanistan, I forgot the exact place... he said that his husband has been having nightmare because he a SEAL saved him from an IED. He survived but the SEAL was blown to bits, ever wonder if that was your brother?" James froze, he had nightmares about Steve getting ... in action. "I..." James started but didn't continue. "TJ!" Evangeline exclaimed. "I told you that Steve is a sensitive topic to James! What were you thinking?!" Evangeline looked at TJ incredulously. "Angie, calm down. Wow, someone's on their period," TJ answered, even James could tell that he wasn't aware of why Evangeline was mad. "Come on, James. We're going, TJ can think about what he did wrong," Evangeline stood up and started walking out. James silently followed, wondering how Evangeline could calm down so quickly.

"I'm sorry about him," Evangeline said once they were outside. "Apology accepted," James answered. Evangeline sighed, "Should've realised that he was a douche earlier." They continued to walk down the street, back towards Evangeline's apartment. "I told you so," James replied. Evangeline laughed a little, "You did." The two continued to walk down the street. James wondered how could Evangeline be so blind. He guessed it was the way neurotypicals were, just another one of those things he would never understand...
