"You may now seal your marriage with a kiss."
Heart racing out of Baekhyun's chest, he turned to face the other. This was it. This was the seal to a lifelong commitment. But, he was no longer afraid.. he was ready for his future.
Closing the distance between the two, Baekhyun felt plush lips against his; met in a delicate unison, as if the moment were too fragile to be pushed.
"I now pronounce you husband and husband. Mr. and Mr. Park, I wish you a lifetime of happiness."
(20 minutes prior)
"Sir, I will switch your bags over to the other vehicle." Baekhyun heard as he felt the car slow to a halt.
Stepping outside of the cab, Baekhyun gazed around at his surroundings. It was changing season soon; so the leaves on the trees were shifting to Technicolor versions of yellow and orange. Settled in between the vast see of trees was a small stone chapel; stain glass windows glimmering reflections against the setting sun. It was a quaint and secluded area, absolutely perfect for his 'shot-gun' wedding.
Looking at his watch, he checked on the time. 6 O'clock. Right on time.
Slowly making his way into the church, he tried to calm his racing heart. He was no longer worried; nor hesitant for himself.. but, he was a tad reserved on going through with this whole idea. Was Chanyeol sure of what he was getting himself into? Baekhyun came with a lot of baggage that many others would cower away from. The sound of a grand piano echoed from inside of the stone walls and disrupted his thoughts. I should hurry and get ready; it'll be my cue to walk down the aisle soon. Making his way to stand behind the large wooden doors, Baekhyun closed his eyes and took in a few last deep breaths. He was a wreck, he was nervous, but it's because he wanted this so badly. He wanted Chanyeol. As the music halted in awaiting his entrance, Baekhyun straightened his grey suit jacket; brushed his sweeping bangs into place, and opened the only remaining barrier standing between himself and the man he loved.
At first, all he could see were flowers. Beautiful bouquets filled with brightly colored Dahlia's decorated the hall. Glimmering lights hung from the exposed beams of the roof, which casted a whimsical glow throughout the entire room. The lights that shone through the large stained glass windows casted a beautiful array of colors to lead him down the aisle. Taking a deep breath, he began his short journey.
The chapel was small, but with not a soul sitting in the pews it seemed so grand. It was meant to be that way. Although it was arranged that the two would flee Seoul and sign a marriage certificate on their way out, Baekhyun refused to agree. He wanted a real wedding, and he didn't want to rob Chanyeol of this moment as well, so Baekhyun had planned a small ceremony for just the two of them. As he slowly made his way down the aisle, he decided; in that moment, that it was the best decision he has ever made.
Gazing down the alley he was met with the most breathtaking sight. Chanyeol stood facing the small wooden altar; waiting patiently. Upon hearing the large wooden entrance open, he turned around to face Baekhyun. His wine red hair had been swept back out of his eyes; which crinkled at the corners as a wide smile spread across his face. Baekhyun had never had his breath stolen away from him before until that very moment, but he would give every last breath to the man waiting if he asked. As he made his way closer to his lover his mind had gone completely blank. The only thought that rang clear was the fact that Chanyeol looked so damn beautiful. The giant was dressed in a brown tweed suit, perfectly paired with a burgundy bow tie that uncannily matched his hair. The pants –it was hard to shop when you are a towering six foot giant- were a little too short in the legs, so it seemed the quick fix was to roll them up just above the ankle. The get up looked goofy and elderly, but it represented Chanyeol's fun loving and quirky personality perfectly. Chanyeol was absolutely breathtaking.
