Brothers Forever

Chapter 14

The night slipped by and soon enough the sun was once again making itself known....Leo and Sky stood on a water tower watching the bright orb of light slowly rise above the horizon, the three younger turtles stood on the rooftop paying no mind to the sun they just watched the two eldest mutants.

The blue clad turtle and white scaled female had stern expressions but if you looked closer you could see it in their eyes....they felt free of the heavy burden that had once chained them to the ground, now they could stand in the open without a care in the world knowing they had defeated their biggest enemy.

Before long the five mutants started heading back to the lair only to be stopped by a group of men, now the group wasn't large maybe around 10 to 15 people but still Leo and Sky grew tense having learned the hard way not to underestimate the size of the army you face.

One of the men spoke his voice was deep "I see you two survived," it was only then that the two eldest mutants noticed the Diablos symbol littered throughout the group....Leo and Sky growled deeply and stepped back causing the three younger turtles to step back.

Sky spoke in a menacing tone "What do you want with us....you know what we are capable of and you dare to face us on our land....your even dumber than I thought." The man spoke once more "We do not wish to fight the two of you....my name is Richard I use to bring the food and water to your cells back in Central America."

The blue clad male and crystal eyed dragon relaxed slightly now that they really got a look at the man's face they knew he wasn't lying it really way Richard, Leo spoke in a calmer tone but it still showed he was ready to fight "Alright you've got our attention if your not here to fight then what do you want with us."

After those words left his voice the group of Diablos bowed respectively, apologizes rang throughout the group causing the shocked mutants' jaws to the drop slightly....once the mutants regained their postures Leo and Sky bowed in turn confusing the Diablos.

Richard spoke in a confused tone have straightened his stance "We bow to you out of respect you have managed to kill our leader and in turn we will disband but why do bow to scum like us."

Sky and Leo straightened up and smiled slightly before the female dragon spoke in a warm tone "You are not scum....scum would not find their enemies just to bow out of respect....so we bow out of respect and honor."

This seemed to have taken the Diablos by surprise but soon enough they nodded and walked away with smiles and waves.....Leo and Sky turned to the three shocked younger turtles and smirked before speaking at the same time "Lets go home....our work here is done."

With that the five mutants made their way back to the lair....the two eldest were more relaxed now having learned that Vincent had finally fallen and his reign of terror was over, everything was actually turning around for the better and hopefully it would stay that way for a while.

~time skip~

It had been a few months since the Diablos disbanded and returned to Central America, news had spread that Vincent was dead having been killed by the Ghosts of the Jungle. Later more news reached the mutants that the remaining members of the Diablos had turned themselves in and are now serving their jail sentences.

The three younger turtles had noticed how Leo and Sky would leave the lair when everyone was sleeping but every time they would ask the two eldest would brush it off...this of course kissed Raph off and he was determined to get to the bottoms of what ever his older brother and Sky were doing.

So one night after patrol the three younger turtles went to bed as usual and waited until Leo and Sky left to follow after them, and soon enough they learned the hard way that sneaking up on and or following two beings who had trained in a jungle to kill thugs was not a good idea.

Before they could even make it to the second rooftop Leo and Sky had disappeared from view only to reappear behind them....the glares the two eldest wore was enough to scar the crap out of anyone.

The three younger turtles stepped away from the angry mutants and smiles sheepishly before Raph spoke "We are curious of where you go....you leave after we go to sleep and get back when we wake up....and when we ask you act like nothing is going on!"

Sighing Leo spoke "Come with us," with that the two eldest started walking away with the three younger turtles following....after a few minutes of walking the two eldest stopped and jumped off the rooftop landing in a crouch. Soon enough the three younger turtles followed behind them and looked around, they were at the docks but something was off....Leo and Sky turned to the three younger turtles and sighed.

The white scaled dragon spoke in a soft tone "We have been researching my past....and this spot was where one of my kind had died."

The three younger turtles widened their eyes slightly before Donnie spoke in a shocked tone "You mean for the past month you've been searching the city for remnants of your past?"

The female dragon nodded before she spoke once more "My mind had been wiped when I was in captivity but over the years I've been gaining more and more memories and now searching for my old fallen comrades my memories are resurfacing faster than before."

The red banded turtle was next to speak "so what have you learned so far," Leo sighed and spoke "All I know is that it's painful for her both mentally and physically."

Sky nodded and spoke "I've seen many wars and deaths...but what was the most shocking was me....I was the only white scaled dragon out of all my people."

Her crystal eyes shown brightly as she spoke "I was the ruler."
